Yes, AOS I-864 for each parent. Now, you will have to wait for the NVC number and Invoice Identification number to be assigned, before you can do anything else, it takes 2-8 weeks. You can start call

The petitions for parents are separate, though, and only one parent is listed on each petition. My guess would be multiple persons applies to the beneficiary with dependents, i.e. IR-1/2 or K-3/4. AO

When we received the I-130 approval notice, it said "The NVC will contact the person for whom you are petitioning concerning further immigrant visa processing steps."

We are applying to have parents immigrate from Russia, and the parents are living in Russia. Does the above statement mean the NVC is mailing papers to parents in Russia?

When we received the I-130 approval notice, it said "The NVC will contact the person for whom you are petitioning concerning further immigrant visa processing steps."

We are applying to have parents immigrate from Russia, and the parents are living in Russia. Does the above statement mean the NVC is mailing papers to parents in Russia?

The NVC will email/mail instructions to both petitioner and beneficiary, however keep tracking your case until you get a case number then you can check on the website at https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/ to determine when you can pay the fees for visa and aos.

March 28th 2013 - Priority date/ NOA 1
November 14th 2013 - Transferred to Nebraska Service Center

January 7th 2014 - Case changed online to approved for both

January 8th 2014 - case changed to shipped to NVC

January 9th 2014 - case changed to NOA 2 mailed

January 10th 2014 - Received the hardcopy of the NOA 2 stating that NVC would issue a case number in 30 days approx.

January 21st 2014 - Case Received at NVC

February 26th 2014 - Case numbers and IIN number received - Wrong embassy code assigned...now waiting for new case numbers.

March 3rd 2014 - Filled in DS-261 for both parents

March 5th 2014- AOS available, paid and submitted AOS packet.

March 6th 2014 - USPS shows packet was delivered at NVC

March 10th 2014 - AOS shows as paid in the CEAC portal/AOS logged into system as being received by NVC.

March 11th 2014 - New case number assigned for my Dad.

March 20th 2014 - Paid IV fee for my Mum.

March 25th 2014 - AOS accepted by NVC with no checklist.

March 26th 2014 - Filled in and submitted DS-260 for my Mum

March 31st 2014 - AOS found in my Mum's file for my Dad - accepted and placed into his file/IV fee available for my Dad and Paid.

April 1st - Mailed all civil documents to NVC for both parents.

Hi Collie. Do you know by any chance if I can find somewhere how they schedule the visa interviews? I know based on availability but after the case is completed how long do I have to wait for them to actually issue me a date and when can I expect an interview date. After sending in reply to my checklist today, I really hope it shouldnt take more than a week to week and a half for them to complete the case. I guess I am just trying to see if my parents can get an interview date for end of June. Thanks.

On average it is taking them approx. 2-3 weeks to review checklist documents from what I have seen. I would keep calling them periodically to follow up. Appointments will depend on how busy your embassy is. They are scheduling right now but if you don't get into this round, you may hopefully get into the 2nd round which will be scheduled half way through the month.

On average it is taking them approx. 2-3 weeks to review checklist documents from what I have seen. I would keep calling them periodically to follow up. Appointments will depend on how busy your embassy is. They are scheduling right now but if you don't get into this round, you may hopefully get into the 2nd round which will be scheduled half way through the month.

You are correcta bout 2-3 weeks processing time for reviewing the checklist but I feel like they have reviewed all my pther documents including AOS and visa application. They just wanted to see applicant's original and not the certified copy (in my case I should say). So I am hoping it will not take 2-3 weeks (fingers crossed) and should be resolved in a mteer of one week.

I know that the time between the actual interview date and the the letter that has the interview date is about a month and a half. I just cant seem to find out as to the basis on what they schedule those interviews. First I thought if I can go onto the local US Embassy maybe they may have something lke which month interview they are processing but ...... no luck.

Well from what I have read and herd, yes you do get an email notification with an attachment that your case has been completed.There is a lapse of about a week from when when the case gets completed and when you actually get an email notification. So people normally keep calling and checking and whether their has been completed and thats how they know that the case has been completed.

My parent's case shows that it is in transit to London embassy! I'm so excited! Calling the NVC now so that I can track it :D

I-130 for both parents

March 28th 2013 - Priority date/ NOA 1
November 14th 2013 - Transferred to Nebraska Service Center

January 7th 2014 - Case changed online to approved for both

January 8th 2014 - case changed to shipped to NVC

January 9th 2014 - case changed to NOA 2 mailed

January 10th 2014 - Received the hardcopy of the NOA 2 stating that NVC would issue a case number in 30 days approx.

January 21st 2014 - Case Received at NVC

February 26th 2014 - Case numbers and IIN number received - Wrong embassy code assigned...now waiting for new case numbers.

March 3rd 2014 - Filled in DS-261 for both parents

March 5th 2014- AOS available, paid and submitted AOS packet.

March 6th 2014 - USPS shows packet was delivered at NVC

March 10th 2014 - AOS shows as paid in the CEAC portal/AOS logged into system as being received by NVC.

March 11th 2014 - New case number assigned for my Dad.

March 20th 2014 - Paid IV fee for my Mum.

March 25th 2014 - AOS accepted by NVC with no checklist.

March 26th 2014 - Filled in and submitted DS-260 for my Mum

March 31st 2014 - AOS found in my Mum's file for my Dad - accepted and placed into his file/IV fee available for my Dad and Paid.

April 1st - Mailed all civil documents to NVC for both parents.

April 3rd: IV fee shows as paid in portal/submitted DS-260 for my Dad.

April 22nd: checklist issued for civil documents - NVC error ...

April 23rd: sent another certified copy of my marriage certificate

April 24th: Case complete! :)

April 30th 2014 - Medical scheduled for parents at Knightsbridge in London

June 11th: Interview at London Embassy - Approved :)

Awesome. Defintley a good news. Anything that takes you closer to the interview date and then approval officurse is always a good news.

Btw looking at your timeline.... th every last document you sent to NVC was on 23rd and on 24th they complted your case. Just wondering was ti really that quick? Normally they take 2 weeks and if someone is lucky its a less than 2 weeks but it seems like in your case they received the packaet, opened it and just clicked ... case complete :)

I am just looking at my case. For both my cases they have to review only one ducment..... literally only one. Everything else as been reviewed.

01/28/2014: Email Update/Txt Received for Approval
