Hi everyone! I got this 2nd checklist today a week after I sent the response to my first checklist. I have attached a screenshot of the checklist. It's the last page of the letter. It didn't really specify anything and besides, it is written in different characters. It's probably a false checklist, right?..

That's why i got confused, it was in greek. Anyway about your dad's saudi police certificate, were you able to obtain one? Because my mom was an ofw too and she worked in saudi for so many years. The last time she was there was in 2011. Are we required to get one? I've read saudi gov't don't issue police certificate for those non-nationals who are not in their country anymore.

I posted this update in the NVC thread but I will put it here too:

Sigh ---- I received an email yesterday from the NVC which looked like a reply to an email I had sent approx. 1 month ago as it contained a request to find my Dad's AOS. Yesterday's email also stated the civil documents were incomplete and to follow the checklist blah blah. At first I thought it was generic, but I called. I think it was Kerry that I spoke to and she was really nice. She told me the Irish police certificates were missing for both parents and also my marriage certificate. She then looked further at my Dad's case and said that my birth certificate was missing and his marriage cert. The originals were all put in my Mum's case with a sticky note on the photocopy in my Dad's explaining where the original was. I also had a cover sheet with a table of contents indicating where the originals were located. Still, they couldn't follow these instructions. She went back and looked at my Mum's and said that she could immediately review for the missing birth cert and Dad's marriage cert as they were cleared in my Mum's.

Then she goes on to tell me I have to have an Irish police certificate for each parent. I once again launched into the spiel that they live in Northern Ireland which is part of Great Britain and they are not Irish, have never lived in Ireland and their embassy is London, so why would they need an Irish police certificate. Their passport states that they are British. Their birth certificates state they were born in N.Ireland. Their DS-260's state that their addresses are all N.Irish which is Great Britain!

Now once again we are under supervisor review to try and get this mess sorted out. I hope that they haven't lost my marriage certificate. Its printed on two pages and has the embossed stamp so I am wondering did they just miss the stamp and discharge it thinking it was a photocopy.

Now it has become a race to get case complete before the next round of interviews are given out.

On a second look at the REF, I noticed USCIS is mainly asking for the marriage certificate for my parents.

The rest they are asking for as a "Additional evidence may include, but is not limited to".

Is this letter a generic form?

If they are asking for something specifically, it is a real checklist. You should always call them to confirm.

collie they sent me a checklist re my dad's saudi arabia police cert. he worked there 17 yrs ago and i talked to rep told me i need to make a letter saying my dad cant obtain one anymore since its been long time ago.. so i was like what?? and i called them back again have them connect me to the supervisor explained to him that police cert are no longer available to third country nationals who no longer reside in the kingdom then he checked my ds-260 and told me i dont need to get saudi police cert or any letter send to them.. crazy agent false checklist...

Thanks jasmine05! I called NVC last night. And yes it was a false checklist and was told to just disregard it. They already have the response to my previous checklist. Well I hope there's no more delays for us. Hoping for a case complete anytime now!
