Yes, AOS I-864 for each parent. Now, you will have to wait for the NVC number and Invoice Identification number to be assigned, before you can do anything else, it takes 2-8 weeks. You can start call

The petitions for parents are separate, though, and only one parent is listed on each petition. My guess would be multiple persons applies to the beneficiary with dependents, i.e. IR-1/2 or K-3/4. AO

So...I called the NVC today and they told me they don't have my parents cases yet... Its been more than 2 weeks since NOA2. It is normal for them not to recieve the cases yet? It took 3 weeks to approve them and 3 weeks to mail? I'm worried now

They usually wait to mail them out in a batch to the NVC, so its not unusual. Call USCIS and ask if it has been physically mailed out. I seen that you were expedited at the USCIS level, but you will have to request an additional expedite at the NVC.

I-130 for both parents

March 28th 2013 - Priority date/ NOA 1
November 14th 2013 - Transferred to Nebraska Service Center

January 7th 2014 - Case changed online to approved for both

January 8th 2014 - case changed to shipped to NVC

January 9th 2014 - case changed to NOA 2 mailed

January 10th 2014 - Received the hardcopy of the NOA 2 stating that NVC would issue a case number in 30 days approx.

January 21st 2014 - Case Received at NVC

February 26th 2014 - Case numbers and IIN number received - Wrong embassy code assigned...now waiting for new case numbers.

March 3rd 2014 - Filled in DS-261 for both parents

March 5th 2014- AOS available, paid and submitted AOS packet.

March 6th 2014 - USPS shows packet was delivered at NVC

March 10th 2014 - AOS shows as paid in the CEAC portal/AOS logged into system as being received by NVC.

March 11th 2014 - New case number assigned for my Dad.

March 20th 2014 - Paid IV fee for my Mum.

March 25th 2014 - AOS accepted by NVC with no checklist.

March 26th 2014 - Filled in and submitted DS-260 for my Mum

March 31st 2014 - AOS found in my Mum's file for my Dad - accepted and placed into his file/IV fee available for my Dad and Paid.

April 1st - Mailed all civil documents to NVC for both parents.

April 3rd: IV fee shows as paid in portal/submitted DS-260 for my Dad.

April 22nd: checklist issued for civil documents - NVC error ...

April 23rd: sent another certified copy of my marriage certificate

April 24th: Case complete! :)

April 30th 2014 - Medical scheduled for parents at Knightsbridge in London

June 11th: Interview at London Embassy - Approved :)

Hey, kerran, Collie, and other members,

A last minute thought.... :clock:

In my case, my income on AOS is enough for 4, but my parents will go together for their interview. This will make my family of 5 ( myself, spouse, son, 2 immigrants) Now, NVC has been treating both cases as two separate individuals, two files, two AOS etc....and I haven't received checklist for co sponsor.

So what do you think about this? Also, for 5 ppl I am only 1500 away, plus I have more than enough bank balance to makeup for that gap.....I feel like I am overthinking...but ....any thoughts on this.

They treat each parent as a separate case. That is why on your AOS, you will list your family members plus ONE parent on each AOS. i.e. if you have a family of you, your wife and your son and one parent, you will write a total of 4 for your household size.

I-130 for both parents

Thanks, Collie! I called USCIS and they said they mailed the papers on Apr 4th so hopefully they will get it soon

I-130 for both parents

March 28th 2013 - Priority date/ NOA 1
November 14th 2013 - Transferred to Nebraska Service Center

January 7th 2014 - Case changed online to approved for both

January 8th 2014 - case changed to shipped to NVC

January 9th 2014 - case changed to NOA 2 mailed

January 10th 2014 - Received the hardcopy of the NOA 2 stating that NVC would issue a case number in 30 days approx.

January 21st 2014 - Case Received at NVC

February 26th 2014 - Case numbers and IIN number received - Wrong embassy code assigned...now waiting for new case numbers.

March 3rd 2014 - Filled in DS-261 for both parents

March 5th 2014- AOS available, paid and submitted AOS packet.

March 6th 2014 - USPS shows packet was delivered at NVC

March 10th 2014 - AOS shows as paid in the CEAC portal/AOS logged into system as being received by NVC.

March 11th 2014 - New case number assigned for my Dad.

March 20th 2014 - Paid IV fee for my Mum.

March 25th 2014 - AOS accepted by NVC with no checklist.

March 26th 2014 - Filled in and submitted DS-260 for my Mum

March 31st 2014 - AOS found in my Mum's file for my Dad - accepted and placed into his file/IV fee available for my Dad and Paid.

April 1st - Mailed all civil documents to NVC for both parents.

April 3rd: IV fee shows as paid in portal/submitted DS-260 for my Dad.

April 22nd: checklist issued for civil documents - NVC error ...

April 23rd: sent another certified copy of my marriage certificate

April 24th: Case complete! :)

April 30th 2014 - Medical scheduled for parents at Knightsbridge in London

June 11th: Interview at London Embassy - Approved :)

They treat each parent as a separate case. That is why on your AOS, you will list your family members plus ONE parent on each AOS. i.e. if you have a family of you, your wife and your son and one parent, you will write a total of 4 for your household size.

Is there a column to sign the DS-260? and Do i need to sign it on behalf of the beneficiary.

● Two (2) passport-size photographs of beneficiary (case number, beneficiary’s full name, and date of birth are written on back of both)

● Certified copy of the marriage certificate of beneficiary

● Original police clearance certificate of beneficiary

● Certified copy of the birth certificate of petitioner

● Certified copy of the marriage certificate of petitioner

Marriage cert must be original or certified copy plus a photocopy. All documents that are originals/certified copies also must have a photocopy attached to them.

Otherwise it looks good. You might want to include a cover sheet with your packages detailing what is in each package, so that they can quickly go to the item. Also put each in a separate envelope and then into one big envelope. To make sure that they seen that there were two packets of civil documents, I wrote on the outside of the envelope in big letters that there were two packets enclosed, as they screwed my Dad's AOS up royally, filing it with my Mum's.

I-130 for both parents

March 28th 2013 - Priority date/ NOA 1
November 14th 2013 - Transferred to Nebraska Service Center

January 7th 2014 - Case changed online to approved for both

January 8th 2014 - case changed to shipped to NVC

January 9th 2014 - case changed to NOA 2 mailed

January 10th 2014 - Received the hardcopy of the NOA 2 stating that NVC would issue a case number in 30 days approx.

January 21st 2014 - Case Received at NVC

February 26th 2014 - Case numbers and IIN number received - Wrong embassy code assigned...now waiting for new case numbers.

March 3rd 2014 - Filled in DS-261 for both parents

March 5th 2014- AOS available, paid and submitted AOS packet.

March 6th 2014 - USPS shows packet was delivered at NVC

March 10th 2014 - AOS shows as paid in the CEAC portal/AOS logged into system as being received by NVC.

March 11th 2014 - New case number assigned for my Dad.

March 20th 2014 - Paid IV fee for my Mum.

March 25th 2014 - AOS accepted by NVC with no checklist.

March 26th 2014 - Filled in and submitted DS-260 for my Mum

March 31st 2014 - AOS found in my Mum's file for my Dad - accepted and placed into his file/IV fee available for my Dad and Paid.

April 1st - Mailed all civil documents to NVC for both parents.

April 3rd: IV fee shows as paid in portal/submitted DS-260 for my Dad.

April 22nd: checklist issued for civil documents - NVC error ...

April 23rd: sent another certified copy of my marriage certificate

Yes at the end there is a section asking who helped to prepare the document and you will put your details in that section and electronically sign.

Thanks Collie. I put documents in a 2 pocket folder. One side is orginal/certified and other pocket are just copies. I even wrote on the pocket, orginal and copy. Anoher envelope are for IV package. And, yes all those are in one big express envelope. NVC should get it by tomorrow.

You are the new "Kerran" now, we will be pounding you with questions as we allow Kerran to enjoy the new bundle of joy and awaits mum's arrival. lol. But i do know she comes in at intervals to answer complicated questions we have too, to make us happy. lol
