Interview passed!!!!!! My mom passed her interview on Friday. The only question they asked was "who is filing for you?"

They went over her documents, took her fingerprint, asked her to swear to tell the truth.

They took all her documents, passport and medical but asked for a copy my husband's passport and a copy of his citizenship. I emailed both on Friday so there shouldn't be any delay in the process.

I had no idea they would ask for his stuff so I'm assuming it's because I used him as an household member to meet the AOS guideline. My mom never received her packet 4 in the mail or we would've sent her those docs to bring.

All in all everything went great!

First, NVC sent me an email, as well as sent to the Attorney and the email contains bar codes and instruction to go ahead and pay the AOS and IV fee. I punched in the Case number and Inv number on the website, then i saw where it shows both payment columns ready for payment online. I called and requested my attorney to allow me pay the fees online while she does the paperwork, but the response is that "it will be mailed". and i was upset because if i pay them online, it will save at least two or more days for us as i read on you guys timeline. now i am told that after mailing it, then i have to wait for two weeks or less to get a correspondence from NVC before mailing out the AOS, now we will wait again to go through same process in paying IV fee, hey that's freaking 3 to 4 weeks wasted on something i read on the timelines here take few days.

I would have paid it online same day i see the portal open and ready for payment. now 6 days have passed, yet the payment has not been mailed out. then i have to wait for another 3 to 4 weeks? and an additional month for them to review the entire package? oh comon.

It's interview time for my mother on May 6. Any suggestions to do, things to bring on the interview day, specifically Manila US embassy?

That's the reason I would tell everyone to not use an attorney, its a waste of money in my opinion. I would [ay them online if I were you and the print the confirmation page. Mailing stuff takes too long.

I figured I'd post the questions my mom was asked. There was a lot.

1. Who is the petitioner?

2. Where does the petitioner work?

3. Where does the petitioner live?

4. How many children does the petitioner have?

5. Who is the joint sponsor?

6. Where does the petitioner's husband work? (I'm glad my mom was able to answer that; she did not remember my husband's employer's name, but she explained the job as well as she could).

7. Is her other child adopted?

8. Was he adopted in Russia?

9. Is he a Russian citizen?

10. Who will he be staying with in Russia?

11. Does my mom plan on filing for his immigration?

I think that was it, unless my mom forgot something.

The timeframe depends on the embassy. In my country it takes 5-10 biz days but it's not recommended you buy the ticket before you get the visa back,min case of a delay.

That's the first step. It takes a couple of days after to see the option to pay.

Got email from NVC for both parents. First email was ACL For WWRO, and second was PAOSF I-130 For neopost DS-1200.

ACL for WWRO bascailly provide me with NVC Case Number, Invoice ID Number, & Beneficiary ID Number. Then it tell to fillout DS-261, Choice of Agent

PAOSF I-130 For neopost DS-1200 is an Affidavit of Support (AOS) Processing Fee Bill Invoice.

I went online and it's say ".... case termination..." Based on the VJ's guide this is good news. I guess they are in a process of entering case to the system.

Question: In the DS-261, I select my husband as Choice of Agent, will he recieve any email if they approved him? thx
