What kind of notification did you get for the Interview via EMAIL or MAIL?? do they notify you as the petitioner?? or do they only notify the persons immigrating?

me too need to know if our case is already completed.. have to call nvc but i doubt it coz still have aos checklist have to review and also iv docs and ds-260..cant wait to be over..

I got an E-mail about midnight last night from NVC Inquiry stating the immigrant visa petition was completed, and will now forward the petition to US Embassy or consulate in Manila for visa interview.

I've waited for this since March 3rd. I got a checklist on February 26 and mailed the documents mentioned on the checklist and was delivered to NVC on March 3rd.

I called monday and the case was complete same day march 31 and called again yesterday twice and gave me a interview date

Exactly, I called 3 times a week , and it does not do any good. all they keep saying is they are reviewing the case, once it's done, they will send me an email, which they did. Welcome Kabayan, Good luck

hello yap he already completed his medical march 20th.. theyre still probably reviewing my iv docs and also i had rfe so that will take another 20 days and my ds-260 too

Hello Everyone,

Congrats to the progress been made by many of us. I have a concern that i need clarification for; When you send an AOS fee and it is delivered, how do you know NVC has received and recorded it?, also will you receive any notification from NVS informing you to send AOS packet or you should just send it. I am worried bc my choice of Agent "representative " is saying that after she sends my AOS fee, we have to wait to hear from NVC before mailing the AOS packet, and the representative quoted "up to two weeks wait to hear from them". I guess it will be same for DS -260. this is a big concern as it will delay the process for me the petitioner.

It seem different from what i am reading on your timelines. please what do i say to my "choice of agent". and not to upset the fellow. I just wish for the process to go as smooth and fast as yours, knowing that it takes another month for NVC to review files before closing on case.

I'm not sure of the process when you mail it in because I did mine online. I was able to print off the cover letter and mail it with the documents about two days after making the payment online.

I'm assuming that if you're doing it my mail then you'd have to wait on correspondence from NVC by mail.

Interview passed!!!!!! My mom passed her interview on Friday. The only question they asked was "who is filing for you?"

They went over her documents, took her fingerprint, asked her to swear to tell the truth.

They took all her documents, passport and medical but asked for a copy my husband's passport and a copy of his citizenship. I emailed both on Friday so there shouldn't be any delay in the process.

I had no idea they would ask for his stuff so I'm assuming it's because I used him as an household member to meet the AOS guideline. My mom never received her packet 4 in the mail or we would've sent her those docs to bring.

All in all everything went great!

It's interview time for my mother on May 6. Any suggestions to do, things to bring on the interview day, specifically Manila US embassy?

I figured I'd post the questions my mom was asked. There was a lot.

1. Who is the petitioner?

2. Where does the petitioner work?

3. Where does the petitioner live?

4. How many children does the petitioner have?

5. Who is the joint sponsor?

6. Where does the petitioner's husband work? (I'm glad my mom was able to answer that; she did not remember my husband's employer's name, but she explained the job as well as she could).

7. Is her other child adopted?

8. Was he adopted in Russia?

9. Is he a Russian citizen?

10. Who will he be staying with in Russia?

11. Does my mom plan on filing for his immigration?

I think that was it, unless my mom forgot something.
