Hi Guys,

I am new to this forum and I have a question. It may have already been answered previously but I am sure you all can understand how long it would take me to go through all 152 pages of posts.

My mom's I130 was approved on 03/17/2014 and in an effort to not delay the NVC process, I have started getting all documents together. My mother does not have an immunization card. Does anyone know what will happen if she does not present one at the time of her medical exam. I read somewhere that she may be required to get all the shots all over again? Is this so? If it is does anyone know which shots are required and will she be able to start getting them at our local health centre prior to her medical appointment?

Yes, she'll have to have the shots done at the time of the examination and pay extra. Which shots depends on her year of birth. If she was born before 1957, they only want tetanus and flu. My mom had to get tetanus. She had a shot record with her, but I guess it was incomplete.

dang it, my cosigner lost her naturalization certificate. She couldn't provide me her Alien number to fill out her I864. Is there any other way to find Alien number???

le sigh.... the saga with my Dad's case continues... They still haven't located his AOS (that was in the SAME envelope but separated from my Mum's). I'm just going to put together another today and send it on its way. They also sent me an email on Friday to ask me to fill in his DS-261...uh I did that already... like a MONTH ago. I have come to the conclusion that nobody in Immigration has a clue what the heck they are doing. On a more positive note, I think they pulled his file and that is what generated that email as today the yellow triangle is showing beside the IV fee. I'm so frustrated that we are having issues at the NVC level

If she is a citizen, why would she need an alien number? She's not an alien.

Oh no, not cool, but at least its something minor that can easily be fixed and they are working overtime at the NVC so hopefully you will have it checked off quickly.

She does not need it if she is a USC.

Finally they found my Dad's AOS and accepted it (it was as I expected filed incorrectly with my Mum's file. I think the multiple emails and constantly hounding them last week had effect ). So glad to not have a checklist with their AOS packets!

It depends on your embassy and how high the volume is. In Egypt for example they have been waiting since September 2013, whereas most other countries usually will schedule 1-2 months after the case is completed at the NVC.

Lets go April! I hope to have a case complete this month. My Dad's IV fee was paid last night and their civil documents are going out today. After that, I just need to fill in the DS-260 for my Dad and my part of this immigration journey is done. Lets hope that we get lots of red font up on that timeline this month!
