Hello, Sorry I just came back and was busy from work. Just to give updates on my side. I got RFE on the 26th of February due to some civil documents needed to be certified copy. ( i sent copies but i guess it wasn't good enough) the next day 27th of February, I sent the corrected documents to NVC and was received by them on the 3rd of March (according to the tracking information of USPS). Few minutes ago I called NVC and asked for updates about my case, and was told by NVC rep that they have not received the documents yet. I said it was delivered to NVC on March 3rd 2014, she put me on hold and gave me the " you have to wait 30 business days to review the case" I said the case is expedited, and I sent the documents to the PI supervisor, but she still said wait 30 days.

It looks like we are on the same time line, but I am now delayed for unknown reason cray5ol.gifcray5ol.gif

any suggestions/advice on what to do? Thanks.

Any advise anyone?

Any advise anyone?

Call NVC again. If your case was expedited then it should've been forwarded to the consulate.

What does your NVC status say?

Case complete on March 07, 2014, my parents are both scheduled interview on April 01, 2014, 6:15 am. biggrin.png

How come you have interview date already? :(

My mother's case was case complete March 6th, and I still don't interview date.... considering the fact she is under expedite processing. :(

This is heartbreaking, but in another note, happy for you that you have Interview schedule already.

I have sent multiple inquiries both NVC and USEM in Manila Immigrant visa unit but I have not received a single reply from them. crying.gif

Oh I'm sorry to hear that, I also don't understand the system. We just received the emails that basically say, our cases are complete and my parents are eligible for interview on April 01. My mother's case was moving a month earlier than my dad but then they ended up with complete case at the same time. I'd say, the person who's working on ours just want ours get done all ready probably. I hope you hear good news one of these days this week :).

What do you mean your AOS is logged into their system ?

Did you call NVC...or there is actually an update to the web portal that mentions it to you ?

its just really frustrating because I know I paid the Visa fee already when we filled the DS 260, right? now.. I have received a "general" email (looks like) that if I want to schedule my mom's interview go this website... la la la and pay the visa fee , AGAIN!!! ranting33va.gif

I called NVC and they said they have no control over my mom's paperwork already... then here I am sending multiple emails to these email address, getting nothing but general info how to schedule an interview appointment, or call the call center and schedule it with them. UGH!

The stupid expedite processing I believe is just full of BS. It took about the same to get a case complete in compare to the once who weren't expedited.

I need to take a rebreather with this, because literally while Im typing this post, I am having Braxton Hicks contractions. I am just soooo effin mad. ranting33va.gif

Sorry, just needed to vent. crying.gif

Yes, I believe that we don't have to pay the IV fee prior for interview, it even says in the US Embassy Manila website, that you only pay when you haven't done it yet at the NVC.

When you called, did you speak to an agent or an officer? I think, if you get the chance to speak to an officer in the USEmbassy Manila, they can give you clear instructions to schedule an interview. I remember, I think they need a receipt number though maybe you can give them the one the NVC sent us. Also tell them, that you will be giving birth soon so you really need your mom as soon as possible. Take it easy :)

Ok. I have some good news (Update to my mom's paperwork)dancin5hr.gif

Ain't no consular officer unreachable for a desperate daughter.

So, I called the US Embassy today in Manila specifically in Immigrant Visa Department. I spoke to this very nice lady who inspite of the fact that I was starting to sound agitated. I sighted to her all the reasons as to why my mom's paperwork has been expedited.

1. Medical Emergency

2.Humanitarian Reason (typhoon Haiyan)

3. None Current Processing time

She was nice enough to tell me to hold on so she can find an available consular officer to talk to me in the Embassy. Well, She did. I spoke to a very nice consul and I spoke to him politely and genuinely wanting my mom to be here with me prior to my delivery. He then instructed me to send another request for early appointment scheduling with ATTN to his name. I just sent the email he was asking and from his mouth "Just send it and I will approve it so she can have an early interview appointment first week of April".

Thank you Jesus! Don't loose hope, because it is possible to talk to consular officer, push comes to shove.

Try to call too the US Embassy if you are positive that it has been sent over there.

The reason I know that they have received my mom's papers is that when I tried to schedule an appointment online, when I plugged in her passport number, it automatically filled the remaining fields that needs her other information.

This is the number I called... "(632) 301-2000, extension 5184 or 5185 during normal business hours, except between 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m."
