Due to "family reunification" Must parents establish residence in the same town or in the same state of their adult child?

During the interview, does the consular officer expect to hear from parents that they are planning to establish residence close to their sponsor?

Ok so just called the NVC - spoke with Todd (nice guy). Changed the address for my dad since it still wasn't correct. He at first told me that I couldn't over the phone if he wasn't still living in Ireland. I said he never lived in Ireland. He lives in Northern Ireland. Todd got a geographical lesson this morning. He said that the payment system for AOS fees was about 24 hours behind the email notification and try again later today - time will tell.

My Dads case number is not changed yet. Right now as the case numbers stand, he will be interviewing in Dublin and my Mum will be in London...Yep that's what Todd told me. .

Good question - I've never heard of this question being asked. Usually it is assumed that the parents will live with the petitioner since that is what the AOS/poverty guidelines are based on. For my Mum and Dad, they already have a house here in Texas which is conveniently about 1 minute away (free babysitting whoo hoo!) that they bought about 4 years ago.

I am waiting on my employer's letter as well as savings account statement, once I get them . I will submit transcripts for 2010/2011/2012 , 2013 is not done yet so I won't include it.

When you completed form 864, was there a barcode generated on the form...or they are referring to the one on the cover letter only. I am just curious.

I read that somewhere but I couldn't see the actual barcode....I guess it will show once I print the filled out form I864.

I havent completed all of it ( still missing some info) therefore I didn't print it. So I guess it will be there once I print.
