So, I'm reading old posts here and came across about the DS-261 asking on the last question if anybody assisted filling out the forms, I answered NO. Should I edit it and resend it? Anybody had any luck with answering NO and was fine? Also, in the confirmation, it says that in the next 3-5 days, I should return to the website and Pay Fees following the instruction given once I get that email from NVC that they got my DS261. I attempted today (which is the 3rd day) by clicking Fee Payment and this message appeared on the Sign In screen,"This case is in the process of termination. Fee Payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believed you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of this case, please contact the NVC immediately." I'm hoping this is a fluke because I haven't gotten any email yet from NVC with instructions. ANybody got this error message at all? Or should I call NVC? Pls help

The petitions for parents are separate, though, and only one parent is listed on each petition. My guess would be multiple persons applies to the beneficiary with dependents, i.e. IR-1/2 or K-3/4. AO

Termination message is a fluke. Don't worry about it. Just wait a couple more days. A lot of people here got the same message.

If you are not the beneficiary and you fill out any form, you have to list yourself as the person who assisted the beneficiary in filling out the form. There's no harm in that. NVC knows perfectly well that our parents often have no English on them and/or no internet. Lying to NVC, on the other hand, is not a good idea.

Hello,

We are in the process of gathering the needed civil documents for my father's petition. I have heard that in an IR-5 the birth certificate for the beneficiary is not needed is that true? My dad is over 68 years old and I’m unsure if we can get his BC.

also, I do not work, my husband a US citizen is currently working for a US company overseas he makes 80k a year (that number shows up on line 7 of the 1040) but since he is claiming it as foreign earned income (pays SS and Medicare taxes but does not pay federal taxes) the total income (line 22 of the 1040) shows up as ZERO as well as adjusted gross income (line 37 of the 1040) shows up as ZERO as well.

His paystubs and even his W2 reflect his wages (80k a year) and he is planning to come back to the USA before my father immigrates to the US to resume his work stateside

How should we proceed with filing AOS when it comes time to submit the paperwork?

As far as the second part of your questions go I would call MVC and ask them about the wages thing because I'm not sure how that would work. They can probably shed some light on that.

Ok so it looks like we are moving along. I got the termination notice this morning and should hopefully be invoiced for the AOS packet soon :)

I have my AOS packet ready, but I would appreciate an extra set or two of eyes going over it to ensure that I haven't missed anything please :)

2013, 2012, 2011 Tax Transcripts/Tax returns

6 months of paystubs

letter of employment confirming salary.

I'm giving them more than what is required because I really don't want to get a stupid checklist.

January 7th 2014 - Case changed online to approved for both

January 8th 2014 - case changed to shipped to NVC

January 10th 2014 - Received the hardcopy of the NOA 2 stating that NVC would issue a case number in 30 days approx.

January 21st 2014 - Case Received at NVC

February 26th 2014 - Case numbers and IIN number received - Wrong embassy code assigned...now waiting for new case numbers.

March 3rd 2014 - Filled in DS-261 for both parents

March 5th 2014- AOS available, paid and submitted AOS packet.

March 6th 2014 - USPS shows packet was delivered at NVC

March 10th 2014 - AOS shows as paid in the CEAC portal/AOS logged into system as being received by NVC.

March 11th 2014 - New case number assigned for my Dad.

Quick question... I am sending my mom's paperwork this week. I sent my dad's on Friday Feb 28th. Originally I was just going to file for my dad first, but due to the circumstances in Ukraine am filing for my mom now, too. When I fill out i-130 in part D #1 should i mention I filed for my dad? To be clear, I do understand the question, I am not filing at the same time, the time frame difference will be 1,5 weeks, but I would like the paperwork to be processed together if possible

24 Feb 2014- NOA1 ( sent to NSC)

14 March 2014- expedite request

30 March 2014- case approved NOA2

4 Apr 2014-case sent to NVC

NVC just assigned me a case number today.

I tried longing online to pay my AOS fee....it is not working.

Based on your experiences , how long will it take me to be able to log in and proceed.

01-20-14 Expedite with Nebraska

02-06-14 Text message NOA2 approved , waiting on hard copy

02-06-14 Email from USCIS , my file was transferred to NVC

02-10-14 NOA2 received

02-15-14 still waiting on case number from NVC

02-19-14 NVC received package from USCIS

02-19-14 I applied for expedite process with NVC

03-03-14 NVC assigned case and invoice number, but I am unable to log in

03-04-14 Able to log in. Completed father's DS 261

03-05-14 AOS fee available to be paid. I paid it online.
