I have an early September 2013 filing date for my parents and yesterday and today I got two updates: the first that the files were going to be transferred to another office for processing and the second that they were transferred to my local office for processing. I know from reading all of your timelines that things should start moving soon(ish) but I an still a little muddled on the next steps. I'll spend some time reading through the posts and looking up others' experiences, but this is just an apology in advance for any asinine questions that I may ask, lol.

Transferring is a good sign but unfortunately its another case of hurry up and wait. You should expect to wait another at least 2-3 months before an approval/denial with another transfer to the NVC with the way that the current timelines are going.

Read this thread, posts 1 and 2 and it will explain the next steps if you are approved. : http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/478133-nvc-filers-february-2014/

ok, BUMMER! I got an RFE!!!!

In Part 6. Sponsor's Income and Employment, please correct the following...

[x] Items 13.a.1. The income you enter must match the total (gross) income reported on your most recent Federal

income tax return. If you filed Form 1040EZ, use the adjusted gross income instead.

It does mean my Total Gross income, and not the Adjusted Income right?

And Can I scanned the Affidavit of support and just send it back to the Supervisor email?

I might be wrong, Total Income is on line 22 of 1040 Return

Can anybody help me with this?? I got an email that says CHECKLIST:

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

______CORRESPONDENCE INSTRUCTIONS:_________________________________

When responding to the National Visa Center, please include the bar code sheet that came with this

letter. Failure to include the bar code sheet may cause a delay in the processing of your case. The bar

code sheet should be placed on top of all documents being submitted for this case and mailed to the

address provided.

______1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________

The National Visa Center received your DS-260 form. We are waiting for the traveling applicant’s

supporting civil documents to be submitted to the NVC. Your online Immigrant Visa Application will be

reviewed upon receipt of your supporting documentation.

To view which documents the applicant must submit to the NVC, please go to our website

immigrantvisas.state.gov.

I already sent the civil documents Feb 14 and they received it the 18th. What is this????

I got the reverse of it. It said they had the documents but no DS260. And I submitted that before I even mailed the documents.

The representative told me to ignore it, they'll figure it out.

By FedEx, the documents were there on Feb 3, but the guy said they were registered as of Feb 6.

Clearly they have not seen your papers yet. Not before they sent you this checklist. I know, weird.

I have a feeling that I am filling in the wrong information for the tax returns and I cannot get clarity. In the box of 13a-13c, am I putting my income in addition to my husbands as listed on the transcripts? I'm just so darn confused on this :/ The transcripts list both mine and hubby's income as one figure as we file married filing jointly and not mine individually. We are just using my income for the AOS as it well meets the poverty line. For those of you who file married filing jointly, what did you put here? I would be so peeved to get a checklist for this.

We filed jointly but I don't work so the only figure on the transcript is his therefore I didn't have to separate the amount. I hope someone else can answer your question.

So based on DHL tracking the package with the visa is at the delivery facility in Kingston. Hoping next week they'll have a date for me.

I would be so peeved to get a checklist for this.

me too i get confuse crying.gif altough im not on the aos yet i wanna know also how it works :(

We are just using my income for the AOS as it well meets the poverty line. For those of you who file married filing jointly, what did you put here? I would be so peeved to get a checklist for this.

I'm doing joint return too. I will use individual W2 since Total Income line 22 on 1040 tie to W2 box 1. If you have 1099INT or other income added to line 22 of 1040, maybe split that in half so the combine income tie to line 22.

Example:

Wife W2 box 1 = 30000

Husband W2 box 1 = 30000

joint bank interest 1099INT = 30

Total line 22 = $60,030

On I-864, I would put as:

Wife = 30,0015

husband = 30,015

Total = 60,030

Could this be the correct way since it tie to 1040 Return?

Hello everyone,

Sorry my question will probably seem silly, but I am confused... I sent i-130 paperwork for my father last Friday to Chicago. Last night I received an email that the case was accepted and sent over to Nebraska Service Center for processing and I will get my notice by mail in 7 to 10 days. Is it the way it should be? In here people are posting about cases being transferred from one office to another... Thank you for your time and replies! I am just starting this new journey and am very impassioned and worried because my family is in/from Ukraine... I wish there was something I could do do speed up the process...
