How long do you guys thing it will take from me sending the IV packet and AOS packet for the US Embassy Manila to receive her case?

I am thinking of having mom do "ADVANCE MEDICAL" now. Should I wait or what?

I am still waiting for mom's civil documents that she mailed 3 days ago via LBC.

Any suggestions will help.

From what I have known, she needs to bring the instruction letter from the NVC to be able to do the medical exam. Normally, we will receive that letter after the case is complete. But a lot of people done it without that letter though so, I'm not sure what to do. Hmmm.. Edited February 13, 2014 by bryn&ellen

I thought the original copy was good enough. That's what I sent so I have no idea.

Question : Do we have to pay $88 for both parents. Also, AOS fees showed up for my mom, but not for my dad. do I send two packages of AOS and IV package ?

Only one payment for both parents for AOS fees. When you pay for your mom, it covers your dad. Once your mom is paid, I mean when your mom's payment appears PAID online. Then call the NVC to make your dad's AOS fee paid too and ask to send you the barcode sheet for your dad.

But you have to pay the immigrant visa fee for each parent.

Yes, two sets of AOS and IV packages, one set for each parent.

1. DO NOT DELETE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.

On February 14, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

Normally, you will receive case numbers and invoice identification numbers, so you will be able to log-in at https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/ to start filling up forms and paying fees. The NVC number is always busy, so just keep trying.

Just to be prepared, I check online DS-260 under Immigrant section at under https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx. I want to assign my husband as a COA. What should he selects: Principal Applicant, Petitioner, or Third-party agent?

It took us two weeks for the NVC to assign us the case numbers. My parents were not approved at the same time that's why. But I have to say that every case moves in different timelines. Some people received case numbers just within a week after the approval, some waited for a month or more.

I think that he is a third-party agent, because you are the petitioner and he is definitely not the principal applicant.
