If you're sending transcripts that you got form IRS directly, you don't need W2s. If you're sending photocopies, like you file online and print them out, then you do. I believe you need to send 1099s either way.

Just wondering .... will I be getting a text or case update that USCIS has sent the case/file to NVC? My case case got approved on Jan 28 and so far no new update. I am looking at your time line and it seems like 2 days after the case got approved your file was transferred to NVC. I thought maybe I should ask what to expect or perhaps should I just give another 2 weeks or so anyways and then check or call for any new update. Thank you.

USCIS Step:
04/19/2013: NOA1 for both parents
04/17/2013: PD
11/26/2013: Transferred to California Service Center

01/28/2014: Email Update/Txt Received for Approval

02/01/2014: Approval Notice received in Mail

****** Both I-130s approved in about 9.5 months ******

NVC Step:

02/07/2014: Case Received by NVC

03/17/2014: Received Case/Invoice Number

03/18/2014: Submitted DS261

03/19/2014: Paid AOS online (one payment for both cases)

03/22/2014: Sent AOS Packages to NVC (separately for each parent)

03/24/2014: AOS Packages delivered to NVC (as per the USPS Tracking)

03/27/2014: IV Fees Available and Paid Online

04/05/2014: IV Documents sent to NVC

Do I need to send a print out of the completed DS-260 to nvc?

i found the answer on the getting started page of the DS-260

  1. We recommend that you print or email the confirmation page for your records before you exit the application. Do not mail the confirmation page to NVC. You should bring your confirmation page with you to your visa interview.
  2. Once you have submitted the DS-260 forms for you and your accompanying family members, you must then submit your required civil documents, photographs and embassy-specific documents to the NVC.

Hi,

According to another forum, only TSC and NSC notifies about the case update. CSC does not notify about transfer to NVC. However, you can call NVC after a week and ask them if they received your case.

The Police Certificate is different from NBI Clearance and I think, you need that one too. I read somewhere in the instructions that the Police Certificate is obtain in another country where the applicants have lived for atleast 6 months. I had to get one when I lived in Holland for 1 year when we applied for K-1 (fiancee visa).

I also submitted a copy of Marriage Certificate of my parents.

Per the website only police cert for the applicant is required (same as when i did mine a couple years ago) my mother or MIL has never been married so thats easy. I sent my marriage certificate to show my name change and relationship to hubby.

oh ok...

Maybe because we have different countries so we differ in the requirements a little bit. Same here, crossing fingers :).

Hi,

According to another forum, only TSC and NSC notifies about the case update. CSC does not notify about transfer to NVC. However, you can call NVC after a week and ask them if they received your case.

That explains and thank you. I was thinking as to why haven't I received any other update from CSC about sending the case to NVC. And yeah I think I will wait for about a week or so and then call NVC.

USCIS Step:
04/19/2013: NOA1 for both parents
04/17/2013: PD
11/26/2013: Transferred to California Service Center

01/14/2014: Reply to RFE Received by CSC

01/28/2014: Email Update/Txt Received for Approval

02/01/2014: Approval Notice received in Mail

****** Both I-130s approved in about 9.5 months ******

NVC Step:

02/07/2014: Case Received by NVC

03/17/2014: Received Case/Invoice Number

03/18/2014: Submitted DS261

03/19/2014: Paid AOS online (one payment for both cases)

03/22/2014: Sent AOS Packages to NVC (separately for each parent)

03/24/2014: AOS Packages delivered to NVC (as per the USPS Tracking)

03/27/2014: IV Fees Available and Paid Online

04/05/2014: IV Documents sent to NVC

04/06/2014: DS260 submitted online

04/07/2014: IV Documents delivered to NVC

05/01/2014: AOS Approved

05/29/2014: Case Complete !!!

06/11/2014: Interview Letter Received via email

****** Took about 4 months at this NVC stage ******

06/18/2014: Medical/Physical Exam Completed

07/03/2014: Interview Completed

07/09/2014: Visas Issued :dancing:

********** Entire process took 14 Months 2 weeks and 6 days *************
