Hi! I'm also petitioning my parents. I already mailed the AOS and based on the tracking info, it was already received. I'm just wondering, should I get a letter from them informing me that they already have the AOS that I sent?

And also, I'm in the process of completing the DS 260, I read somewhere in the instructions that I can email the required documents. Anyone tried doing this, scanning the documents instead of mailing it?

So if I email the documents, they're not getting the original documents. I thought they need originals?

In my case, they didn't informed me with emails that they received my AOS documents. I knew it when I called that they all ready have it but not have not review it. According to the officers that I talked to, they will review it within 30 days. Once reviewed, then they will send us instructions what to do next.

I completed the DS-260 online, but the supporting documents, I sent it through priority mail with the barcode sheet. I thought it was a pain to scan everything and send them all online, so I just decided to send it through the mail. But somebody must have tried emailing the documents online, just not me.

They ask for originals or certified copies. I guess emailing the documents would only work if the beneficiary produces the originals at the interview. I have all the originals with me, so my mom will only bring the copies.

Updating my timeline. Paid IV package on January 15 and sending AOS and IV package documents today.

1. DO NOT DELETE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.

I think they will wait for the papers. Certainly no reason for rejection.

Just to clarify, since we file jointly, I just put my INDIVIDUAL income that is on my own W2 on Part 6 number 5. (My Current Individual Income) ?

Individual income is YOUR individual income. If you don't work, it's 0. If you do, it's whatever is on your individual W2.

Your spouses income goes into Person 1 6c. Person 1 6a is your spouse.

There are lines there for income on the tax returns, that's where you put joint.

I asked them if I could send all AOS packet and DS-260 supporting docs together but in seperate folders even I haven't filed out the DS-260 online bcause its not yet available for me to fill in anyway so as the fee. Agent said, they will keep the supporting docs, and just join it together once fee and DS-260 are received.

On part I-864A Part 2 Number 13. "Sponsors Promise", its has a line that says (Indicate Number) should I just put 1 this petition is only for my mom and retype this on Part 3 Number 15 on that place where it says number from line 13
