So I got the employment letter today and it only has two lines on the big piece of paper. Lol

I hope that's enough. Does it have to contain pay info too? I hope this is enough.

Still waiting for response on expedite request. Got email to pay IV bill today.

If your sending the pay stubs too, I suppose the letter doesn't necessarily have to list the pay. We had to get an employment letter for my adjustment a few years ago, but I do not remember if it listed the pay or not.

My MIL mailed me her part of the paperwork today. Still have to get my husband's. Any idea if the employment letter has to be the original with "live" signature or if it can be emailed?

I'm not sure if the signature has to be live or not but for countries with e-processing I'm assuming it would be ok to email it. I need two copies so one of my copies won't be original. I'll send pay stubs too.

I got Invoice ID number and the permission to file 261 and to pay AoS fee at the same time last night.

Mine was, the choice of agent only was the only thing available.

AOS and IV bill are still locked.

I got my tax transcripts today and we have always filed married filing jointly. My question is this: how does the NVC determine what was my income and what was my husbands? Do I need to include W2's as well for the past three years?

Collie, they don't ask for W2s.

There's a space for your income on the form and for your spouses. So it's easy to tell which is which:)

I read the instructions and they call for 6 months of pay stubs if you want to send any at all.

My husband got an employment letter in the email. I think you're right, kerran, I doubt it they care if it's the original.

As far as taxes, we might be able to send in the 2013 after all, since the form should be available to print as soon as we put the info in TurboTax. I don't think we have to push the FILE button for that. And we will have the W2 available Monday. We might even be able to sponsor without my MIL, we'll see. We've been counting my husband's salary, but he also gets a lot of benefits (which is noted on the employment letter) and with those his income is significantly larger.

It is the NVC case number. Mine says MOS meaning Moscow. It's the first three letters of the consulate location (or the abbreviation, whatever:)). I'm guessing MNL stands for Manila?

I doubt we'll be able to print it that quick. I'm just sending up to 2012 and see what happens.

I called about this employment letter and pay stubs. I was told by the NVC rep on the phone that is either or, if you have the employment letter then you don't need to submit the pay stubs, if you don't have employment letter, then the last two recent pay stubs. For the tax paperwork, the latest W2 you have, which is 2012.

@cuttiepattoie, I completed my Choice of agent DS-261 last Friday January 10, then after midnight Friday, makes it Saturday January 11, I paid the AOS fee of $88. took couple of days to process, then January 15 last Wednesday, got an e-mail that I can pay the IV and alien registration fee, I did pay on the same day $230. then Yesterday January 17, I was e-mailed again regarding the DS-260 that I needed to complete so they can continue the process, I did finished the DS-260 yesterday. Now I am waiting for their decision regarding the case which it could take up to 30 days.

While I am waiting now, I am filling out the AOS form and also waiting the civil documents for my Mother, Like NBI clearance etc.

In my case pay stubs AND employment letter would be necessary, because the basic salary is different from the actual pay. But nice to know they don't want 6 months of pay stubs.

So the person who did the employment letter did not date it. I wish I could smack him right now. I'll have to call on Monday to request a new one.
