I found this on VJ and thought it might help you guys too.

These are the documents you should sent to NVC:

**For the AOS (I-864) Process, you need to submit the following:

Cover Page of the AOS fee you got at the time you paid the AOS fee. This Cover Page should be at the top of all documents to be sent.

I-864 (AOS complete form) - make sure you sign it.

Copy of your passport biography page

Your most recent last 3 years tax returns

Most recent pay stub if you have one

NOTE: NVC will contact you to send in documents relating to the DS-230, once your affidavit of support has been accepted and approved. After you send in the above, start compiling the below immediately to save time.

**For the (DS-230) Process, you need to submit the following:

Cover Page of the DS-230 fee you got at the time you paid the fee. This Cover Page should be at the top of all documents to be sent.

DS-230 (IV complete form) - make sure your mom signs and date "Page 2 ONLY" of this form. She will sign page 4 at the time of her interview in front of the Visa officer.

Your Original Birth Certificate. (When I did this for my parents, I sent a copy of my birth certificate and they would not accept it) - Note your mom will collect your original birth certificate at the time if her interview.

Copy of your passport biography page

Copy of your mom's biography page of her passport

Certified copy of your mom's birth and marriage certificates. (You don't need to send your father death certificate)

Your Mom's Police report or clearance

2 Passport Size photos (Color) for your mom

Note: your original birth certificate will identify your mom and dad names. Your mom marriage certificate will identify that you were born after the marriage or something like that.

Good checklist - I have been frequently visiting the IR/CR1 forum as the monthly NVC thread is full of great information. On a related note, I am just starting to fill out one of my AOS forms as a test run and holy sheep, it is complicated! I'm not having fun doing this .

Hehehe...you have to get used to it...the Immigrant visa application is even a lot more work than the AOS forms .

While waiting for NVC you can gather all required information that NVC will ask for. There is a checklist above that shows what NVC will need. Tax returns, pay stub, affidavit of support, etc.

I waited until I got text/email notification. Because the letter said to call in no approval in 60 days I was waiting on that.

Thanks Kerran. My parents case transfer letter did not say anything about 60 days. It just said case transter to NSC and call for more infor after 15 days.

15 days is for premium processing (work visa, etc). Mine said the same thing but there was a second piece of paper in the envelope that said to call in 60 days if no approval.
