Thanks. Btw do you know if we can save and retrieve the information while filling it out online? I mean what it is asking for something and we don't have the info readily available . Can we start from where we left off ? Or does this online firm have to be completed in one shot ?

Yes, you can save it. As long as it's not "completed" (it has a status online), you can continue working on it or edit. But once you submitted it, you can't edit it anymore, then you will have to call the NVC if you need to correct something.

Yes, AOS I-864 for each parent. Now, you will have to wait for the NVC number and Invoice Identification number to be assigned, before you can do anything else, it takes 2-8 weeks. You can start calling the NVC next week to follow up, to know if the numbers are all ready available for your case. Once the NVC number and IIN are assigned, you can log-in to https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/Invoice/signon.aspx to pay for AOS I-864 processing fee and wait for days to appear PAID in the payment portal (my mother's case was about 2 days). Once its paid, then you can start completing the AOS I-864 forms, print cover sheet, gather documents and send it to the NVC.

Don't wait for the instruction letter from the NVC, check your NVC status time to time, to be able to see when you can pay for Immigrant Visa Processing fee, because you can only complete the IV forms once it appears paid.

I just finished my mother's IV forms and here are the information that I didn't have that needed in the IV forms, gather this, if applicable to you, while waiting for you AOS and IV bill:

Name of Your Parent's Parents (your grandparents), Birthdates and birthplace, if not living anymore, year of death.

Information on children : address of children if they are not living with your parents (I have 5 siblings and 3 of them do not live with my parents, so it was challenging to contact them for their addresses, considering slow internet connection and they're working).

Employment record (if had worked or working): Name of Office or Employer, Address and Contact number; Name of Supervisor, Dates of employment

Education (if there's a background): Name of institution, Course (College or University), date of attendance

I think that was it..I will think of more and let you know .

oh wow definitely didn't know about the siblings addresses. My sisters are in Dubai, Monaco and Belfast haha so we are all over the world! also good to now on the grandparents.

Called NVC and they said my cases were completely entered today (mind you, my cases were received by NVC 12/09/13 and entered 12/23/13) and it may take up to 20 biz days to be invoiced. So it may take up to a month from date entered, just to be invoiced. SMH at NVC!!!!!!!

btw just wondering if someone recently received one of these RFE's ..... especially from CSV? Coz i did send in everything they asked..... even the translations of the documents that needed one. What else could they be looking for?

I'm scared even more, for some reason at the NVC stage! It just seems to be so much more detailed. Can I confirm that I need to file a separate AOS I-864 for each parent?

What are the next steps in this process in a nutshell? I'm starting to prepare all of my forms and financial documents (requests for tax transcripts, pay stubs, letter of employment), but do I have to wait until the NVC sends a letter to say they have my case?

I'm confused at this stage I have to admit. Thank goodness for VJ!

Have you received an email saying that USCIS mailed the approved case to NVC ? The reason I am asking is because I received a hardcopy of my approval around December 12th and it said that "USCIS has already send the file to NVC." Then on December 31st I received another email saying that " approved case has been send to NVC...blah, blah, blah.....USCIS is so deceiving I don't even know what to believe, what not to believe anymore, its sad

Nope, they just give us links. But they sent emails on the status of your case like, they sent me emails on asking me to fill-up Choice of Agent forms and pay for fees.
