I didn't sign up for electronic response from USCIS. However, the approval letter itself says that USCIS send my original petition to NVC. Should I believe USCIS

I checked the status online, as i do not receive their emails. I am not sure why coz I signed up for it. I woul dnot believe it.

Guys, I just got this late christmas present: "On December 31, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

It looks like they are making some progress, My NOA1 date is March 22, 2013, over 9 months waiting for this day, Happy New Year 2014 to everyone waiting, your Approval is coming soon!

Damnit USCIS (aka Useless), approve my parents already! I really thought we would be sitting altogether celebrating New year together. I'm so disappointed that uscis are making my parents miss out on my daughters growing up, especially my 4 mth baby girl

btw when did you apply for your parents? What is your NOA1 and when and where was your cases trnasferred to? What center I mean.

My priority date is March 28th. The petition was transferred on Nov 14th to Nebraska. I haven't heard anything since then and I'm getting disheartened and angry seeing petitions getting approved that were submitted months after mine, which I fully believe that uscis are adjudicating later petitions to keep their processing parameters within acceptable range.

Did you by any chance try calling them or perhaps writing them a letter? or anything I mean? I called in my senator's office yesterday and will call back again on Thursday. Also I called USCIS and the lady was nice enough to open a inquiry on my behalf. I am not sure how much would that help but now will keep calling them every pther week. In the meantime I am hoping that the representative from the senator's office will get back to me with a constructive and reasonable answer.

My 60 days will end Jan 26 so I really want both of my cases to be approved within 60 days.

Uscis is holding millions of dollars in petition fees and have promoted some idiot but yet can only advance the petition priority date by 1 day in the space of 1 month. They are only approving 70-80 per month and there are hundreds of thousands still pending, yet they claim to be putting all focus into clearing and expediting the I-130 backlog.

True ... very true. Today when I called I told the lady that when I filed I thought that being a citizen my cases will be given preference over other cases (non-citizen filed cases) but now I dont even know whats going on. Well they all have same generic answers that ..... they are working and the work load is just too much but rest assured they are going to get to your file .... blah blah blah .....

For the most part I am hopeful that before the 60 days are up, my cases will be approved.I hope you hear something soon too. And the worst part is that this is just the first step of 3 step process. From here it goes to NVC and then once they approve it goes to the local embassy ..... so even after it gets approved from here, I am looking at another 4-5 months at a minimum before my parents go for their interview.

I am trying to keep myself calm .... not sure how long will that last.

I know NVC required an orginal cerrtificate and since my parents only had one orginal birth certificate and marriage license. Is it okay for them to send me a certified copy so i can use for NVC?

Does anybody know how NVC calculates the beneficiary's income? How do I put it on the I-864, if it's not in $$? Do they ask for any proof?

My mom has a monthly pension from the government, an apartment and some savings in the bank. Savings, of course, might not remain intact for a long time, but the pension and the apartment are not going anywhere.

I was wondering if I could use that to cover the amount I am short of meeting the 125%.
