They're just trying to confuse us with their many updates. They usually tell you to use the notice date (mailed copy) as the date the case was last updated. However it would seem as if they didn't actually send it on the 28th of Nov but on dec 2.

It should take less than a month for approval (based on what we've seen here so far)

Good luck!!!!

Thank you. I really hope you are correct about getting approval within a month. I see in your case it took about 20 days from the case transfer to get the NOA2. In my case it has already been about 27-28 days. I am hoping to hear something soon..... something good.

Welcome Peace500!!

Thank you. Even though I received my case # they're still not invoiced so I can't pay yet.

If you are working and you meet the poverty guideline then you do not need a joint sponsor. If you're unemployed or make less than the poverty guideline amount then you would need a joint sponsor (your husband or someone else).

So even if you file taxes jointly you don't need a co-sponsor unless you are unemployed or doesn't meet the poverty guideline.

So once January 1st comes they will no longer accept 2013 tax return as the current one? Am I right?

Which means I will have to wait until after I get my tax return for 2013 to send them the most current paperwork. UGH!!!!!!!

It is definitely a good news but not sure now how long you might have to wait. Look at us (from April).... or even March filers who are just waiting for their applications to get approved. I hope the service centers start start spitting out approvals for yours and all other applications.

According to the letter everyone has been quoting - the maximum wait from now to NOA2 USCIS is quoting is 60 days. I am really hoping that is the case.

But overall any news at this point is good news :)

True very true ... btw everyone got that 60 days letter. I called then yesterday and asked about that 60 days letter and they told me that 60 days means nothing if USCIS is still processing application prior to your notice date. But I agree any positive news is good news from USCIS. Even the news that they are working right after holidays is a good news ... lol

So once January 1st comes they will no longer accept 2013 tax return as the current one? Am I right?

Which means I will have to wait until after I get my tax return for 2013 to send them the most current paperwork. UGH!!!!!!!

It's possible. As I have mentioned before, they asked for a fresh employment letter in October. The previous year's taxes were "outdated".

Hello,

Been stocking you guys for a while, and would love to join the group. I am glad you received your NVC #, kerran smile.png I am still waiting..... I am confused about AOS b/c my husband and I file joint taxes, but I am the primary petioner for my parents. So will he be considered as a co-sponsor or what ?

Your husband is your household member. If you file jointly, you have joint income. You fill out I-864 and put your personal income as 0 if you don't have any, or whatever your income is if you have it, and the household income as whatever is on your joint tax return. Your husband fills out I-864a. But if you personally make enough to sponsor your parents, your husband doesn't have to participate.

If your joint income is enough, you do not need any other (joint) sponsors.
