Yes, AOS I-864 for each parent. Now, you will have to wait for the NVC number and Invoice Identification number to be assigned, before you can do anything else, it takes 2-8 weeks. You can start call

The petitions for parents are separate, though, and only one parent is listed on each petition. My guess would be multiple persons applies to the beneficiary with dependents, i.e. IR-1/2 or K-3/4. AO

I wanted to share a couple of things that happened on my Mom's interview in Manila Consulate.

Her appointment was 8:30 and she was there by 8am. She got in and got out by 12. Yes everybody got out for lunch.

On her second entry, she asked an officer if she could bring her daughter-in-law inside due to "maybe" she won't be able to hear very well the consul. So they let my sis-in-law in.

On the pre-interview, the officer only asked for the pictures of us together.

Mom's number flashed at 1:20. Both of them went in and both of them swore to tell the truth. Here are the questions:

1. Who is your petitioner?

2. What does she do?

3. Where does she work?

4. Where does the husband work?

5. Do they have children?

6. When did the petitioner first come to the US?

The lady consul DID NOT ASK FOR ANY PAPER AT ALL but kept on writing, checking and browsing on papers.. which my Mom believed were the papers I sent to NVC.

Then smiled and said, "Congratulations, your visa is approved. Please go to window xx"

Everything took place in 5 minutes.

So that's it and I hope everything will work out well for everyone here.

Did you use I 864 EZ or I-864? My income is enough to cover all of us so I used I-864 EZ and I did not use I-864a but I will send a copy to my mom this week. Just in case.

hello guys just checked my mom and dad status online and it makes me so happy that yesterday 09/22/11 they send an APPROVAL NOTICED in the mail..so i guess i will just wait to get it and start the process...

Did you use I 864 EZ or I-864? My income is enough to cover all of us so I used I-864 EZ and I did not use I-864a but I will send a copy to my mom this week. Just in case.

I used I-864. My income is also enough but they still want the I-864a. If you are sending the I-864a to your mom, you might as well send another I-864. Best of Luck to your Mom.

Here is my timeline for my mom

06/11/11- sent I-130 to USCIS

06/13/11- received by USCIS

06/16/11- priority date

08/03/11- touched

Status still showing initial review. I hope mine gets approved one of these days...
