Are what we term as left and right universal, or maybe similar in Germany?? Because I didn't think using the words "right wing" meant the same in every country. Maybe these kinds of things aren't actually left or right wing(in American terms), but just nutty extremism in general. Forget left or right in the way we see it here.

Paul, you are talking about aspects of it, but not the dogma or ideology. Despite what you may think, facism is a far right ideology. Maybe you'll get it if I put it into pictures.

How does Libertarianism (limited government control) lead to fascism. They are opposites. Fascism is just another form of government that has some level of unbridled or loosely bridled power.

When you tell someone, i'll go with what the scholars say, and then copy and paste some pedantic jpeg image, it just shows your inability to think for yourself If you want to prove your point, don't copy and paste a stupid chart or say that you are agreeing with "scholars" (implying that anyone who disagrees is some sort of idiot) then you should somehow make an argument as to why you believe that fascists are "right-wing." By the way, we wouldn't call liberals socialists if they didn't espouse socialists policies. I think most liberals don't even shy away from being called socialists anymore but continue to shy away from being called communists or Marxists.

Is every concept reduced to an argument of opinion? If you told me that the combustion engine uses baking flour, should I meet your preposterous opinion with my own personal opinion bringing the argument down to a mere difference of opinion, or show you how how idiotic your argument is by posting a diagram of a combustion engine?

In these times of internet arguments, people are more apt to boldly form opinions on just about every concept without the typical repercussions they'd experience in the real world if they voiced such absurd opinions out in public.

Where does that chart, or which post of mine for that matter did it say that it leads to any of that. It's a simple chart that shows where political movements fall along left/right standards. Anything that you drew beyond that is your own insipid conclussion. You really should understand context before wading into a conversation, particularly dynamics of other posters, like paul for example, who loves to deride universities as being some sort of brain washing institution.

The chart only shows the spectrum of political ideologies as to where they fall.

Libertarianism actually leads to anarchy, but that's a different thread.
