No, it's very good news! It means they've pulled the file for final review, and the next step is case complete!

Crazy that I was thinking the same that the holidays are over so the NVC can get back to work. I could not really enjoy the holidays because the NVC is slow. Will our waiting ever end???

Sis! You can put your timeline as your signature. Go to your profile, click 'Edit my Profile" then Change Signature then add your timeline there. :)

After SIF i am still stuck in final review. It has been close to a week. I hope they get thru it soon and close the case.

:( I'm sorry. I knew someone whose case got completed almost two weeks after her SIF. I hope you will get your CC very soon.

2010-12-17 I-130 NOA2 (no email notification, no change in status on the USCIS website, hardcopy did not come in mail until 2011)

2010-12-21 NVC Received (was calling NVC every day, found out from them about approval over a week before NOA2 rec'd in mail)

2010-12-24 email address given to NVC, IIN number received from NVC operator

2010-12-24 I-864 AOS bill available - paid immediately

2010-12-24 DS-3032 emailed

2010-12-27 I-864 AOS bill showing as "paid", printed coversheet, mailed I-864 packet overnite

2010-12-27 Mailed "backup" DS-3032 overnite

2010-12-30 I-864 AOS delivered to NVC

2011-01-03 NOA2 finally received in mail...thanks

2011-01-03 DS-3032 has been accepted, per the automated message

2011-01-03 DS-230 IV bill available - paid immediately

2011-01-06 Rec'd last of the supporting DS-230 docs from beneficiary

2011-01-06 DS-230 IV bill showing as "paid", printed coversheet, mailed DS-230 packet overnite

2011-01-11 AVR indicates DS-230 was received, waiting on AOS still, however, confirmed with operator they have both pieces

2011-01-28 Website changed to SIF right after midnight eastern time...hmmm

I just called the NVC and talked to a rep. He said they're still reviewing my documents since Monday. When I asked him if there are any missing documents so far, he said, "Well that's why we're reviewing it". Very slick Angeli! :rofl:

He then told me to call back again after two weeks. :( But I'll call again next Friday! :lol::P

The only good thing though is he didn't put me on hold. :)

Called NVC, they said it takes them 20 business days to review all docs. They also said that they schedule interviews

on the second week of each month for the following month. My docs were entered on Dec 21st, if they review them next week,

I have to wait another month just to know that the interview is one month later :wacko:.

Oh #######, I think we got an RFE. Our AVR message changed from "NVC has review your packet of documents and found information to be missing or incomplete. A letter was sent on January 5th, 2011..." to "(same)...a letter was sent on January 7th, 2011." The letter sent on January 5th was the false checklist requesting the IV packet...so I guess they reviewed the IV packet, found something missing, and sent another letter. :unsure: I really wish I had known yesterday when I could have talked to a person about it! Now I just have to anxiously await the email. I just went through my copy of our IV packet, and I can't find anything missing. The only things I can think of that it might be are that (a) my husband only signed one of his 2 legal last names on the forms; (b) our marriage certificate was typed up by the courthouse in the DR with really light ink (I considered it legible, but maybe it's not good enough for them); © they lost something. We shall see!!!
