Hello Saylin,

Good to read the progress in your case. Yes, i did speak to an operator, and all they could tell me was that they have received my email(documents) and it is under review and will have an answer in 20days.

Thanks, my husband and I are progressing right along nicely. :)

It seems like rather longer than usual for the review to be done on your case. Although, NVC was closed a few times in January and just last Wednesday due to weather, so that pushed it back a bit.

Finally, after inclement weather closings and depressing checklist days, I got SIF today!:D:dance::D:dance:

Thank you all for the comfort during those times. :)

Congrats!! kicking.gif

Congratulations on your SIF. Wish you get your interview date soon.

I just received this email from NVC, is this something you get before the case is closed?

"All documentation necessary to complete the National Visa Center's processing of your case has been received. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable) will be notified.

The applicant should NOT make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment until the US Embassy or Consulate General has issued a visa.

The US Embassy or Consulate General may require additional documentation at the time of the interview."

IMO, that looks like the case complete email. Have you called an operator yet today?

Hello Saylin,

I hope so too. I have not called NVC yet. I am still able to sign in to my payment portal, so i am not sure if the case is closed yet.

Thanks

I'd call up NVC and ask!

Remember, SIF doesn't always come before case complete. I have seen cases where people have gotten a case complete first, then a SIF later.

Hello Saylin,

I just called NVC and got confirmation that the case is closed. Thanks for your support. Now, just have to wait for the interview date confirmation.

Good luck with your case processing.

Congrats!! kicking.gif You should find out your interview date within the next couple of days. Keep calling the NVC, or you can try calling DOS at 202-663-1225. I've heard they'll know of the interview date faster than NVC.

Thank you. I will call DOS on Friday, hopefully they will have a date.

By Friday, yes. I know of two people that went through Montreal that found out within 24 hours. I'd call tomorrow or Wednesday if I were you.
