Crazy that I was thinking the same that the holidays are over so the NVC can get back to work. I could not really enjoy the holidays because the NVC is slow. Will our waiting ever end???

Sigh...My husband called to the NVC today, sad to hear that b'coz of snow storm happened lately it will cause some delays in process..Sad thing is that interview schedule is occupied already in the whole month of February :crying:, I dont want to beleived it maybe the person on the phone is not updated on the latest info, well it happens ....advised my hubby to call again on Feb 8 or 9 for a new updates...lets pray a lot everything will be Ok..:innocent:

Sigh...we dont have any choice,hoping all our application will turn ok so that we can get the interview schedule early March...is there any way for NVC to move to other place where there are no snow storm encounter...Its a nature and I just find it funny :blush:

I want them to move to where I live, its warm here lol. Anyway when they give you appointment they always give you 30 days in advance. So if your case is final for example they close it on Feb 15, then most likely your interview will be around March 15. We are hope we get interview around end of March because then I have off and I will go to Manila to attend interview with my wife.

OMG all important holidays have come so what else do I need to pass just to be with my husband..sigh! we already had our 1sy anniv apart then new years and now what next? my birthday is on the end of March please..please...hope this will be one of the best gift I can have on my birthday...

Oh no...dont tell me that! Was your friend applying for CR-1 visa? If so that blows the 'we only schedule interviews in the first 2 weeks of the month' out of the water. I absolutely cant bear this awful process any longer!! Our very simple RFE has been at NVC for nearly 2 weeks now and still no case complete. I want to call them every day but am afraid that if I do they will get fed up and put the file at the bottom...I had my hopes on a Jan interview...then Feb...now March?? At this rate I'll still be here in the summer :crying:

17.11.10 - NOA2 (there was a hold up due to incorrect information put on forms by our lawyer)

05.1.11 - SIF and CC for my case only. Get RFE for my 2 sons as lawyer made ANOTHER mistake and made errors on I-864's for the children.

10.1.11 - Corrected I-864's received at NVC via Fedex

14.11.11 - Corrected paperwork entered on system according to AVR

17.1.11 - Medicals done

27.1.11 - My husband calls his senator's office and asks for help to get things moving.

31.1.11 - Finally got SIF for my sons!

01.2.11 - CC (Phoned DOS as NVC shut due to weather and they told me paperwork was completed at NVC on 1st Feb)

10.2.11 - Interview date assigned

15.3.11 - Interview - APPROVED!!!

24.3.11 - POE - Dallas, TX

So NVC is slow now? As soon as we left USCIS now NVC is delaying everything? Oooohhh... still no case number... 12 days since approval at Uscis...

If someone knows better, please correct me, but it is my understanding that the interview slotting/scheduling process is completely dependent on the embassy/country involved, so blanket statements about them cannot be made. I think it is best that you search this site for others that have gone through the process from your country and check out their timelines.

:wacko: It seems you cannot catch a break! You got caught up in the transfer to the TSC that took forever and now the NVC has slowed to a crawl...I feel for you

If someone knows better, please correct me, but it is my understanding that the interview slotting/scheduling process is completely dependent on the embassy/country involved, so blanket statements about them cannot be made. I think it is best that you search this site for others that have gone through the process from your country and check out their timelines.

Yes your right. Each Embassy is different. I believe she was refering to the Philippines about all Feb slots are full.

I had the same problem in NVC with processing of an RFE i called 3 times a day and had 2 senators call them...FINALLY after the second senator..they CC the same day and forwared it all...dont be affraid to heckle them :D
