I have a question about affidavit of support I-864

what kind of papers my wife have to prepare before we have to send it to the NVC

anyone can make a general list for the affidavit of support to me pls ?i will just have to check what to do..

Hey everyone in the ds230 forms should i be using "n/a" or "none". I had heard somewhere "none" was prefered.

I heard that too but I think I used N/A on mine. I'm not too sure since husband kept the copies.

T- Yes i think so they are talking about new checklist but i dont know when we will receive it or got an email my wife also talked to an human at the NVC she told her that they will also send us a new checklist of affidavit of support i already have done with birth certificate and marriage certificate with certified and translated so now we are waiting for the new checklist and also my wife need to send 2010 tax something like that she told my wife....

by the way do i really need to send our orginal marriage certificate ? i already certified it by the goverment authority

I believe we have the same dates, our paper enter to the system at NVC in same day (12/23/2010) but when I try to sign in at NVC web since yesterday I get SIF,,,,What about you?

Rie- The priority date is the date that is on your NOA1& NOA2. This date has more importance if the person in the US who applied for you is not a US Citizen (for example: they are a Legal Permanent Resident). If your husband is a US Citizen, there aren't any limitations on the number of visas for that category so there is no need to worry about the priority date. If your husband is a Legal Permanent Resident then there are limitations on the number of visas for that category. If this is the case, you will want to check you priority date against the travel.state.gov website list of current processing dates for priority dates.

I hope that made sense I'm sure someone will come along and give you further assistance.

No SIF for me until today. Maybe because they need more time to review my AOS packet because my husband sent more documents since we have a co-sponsor. Or maybe I will get a RFE. I'm happy for you though. Can't wait to get my own SIF soon.
