It depends on who handles it, but I've seen petitions reach the NVC within days after the expedite is approved. Remember that you will need to ask for another expedite at NVC/ embassy stage, it doesn't "carry over".

We were approved on nov.28th and i sent all the documents for processing when i filed on aug. 21st it is now jan.2nd and i hear nothing

I would advise following it up by speaking to a tier 2 or supervisor in that case.

I have spoke to them 2 times and both lied to me one said we have approval in 3 weeks the other said it could still be 6 months we are now at 7weeks since expidited approval

Did you take their names? If so I would ask to speak to a Tier 2, then a supervisor and report the trouble that you are having.

If you were approved on Nov 28 - you havent had your NOA2 Approval Notice - I would definitely query it with a supervisor. I strongly advise people in this position to take names of csr's or t2's - when making further inquiries afterwards, being able to supply evidence of previous conversations holds you in better stead.

So you were told you were being expedited 5 months ago or you've been waiting 5 months and recently put in a request to expedite?

If its the former I would query the validity of the info given to you regarding an expedite. From the time the service request goes in, to a adjudication on the petition has seemed to be around a month to 6 weeks in the cases I know of personally.

financial burden was the basis and the texas service center sent us a letter on official uscis letter head with seal stating we would be processed expiditedly

If I had this in writing, I would speak to a couple of tier 2's right away, consecutively to see if the info mirrors each other, today. if not - i would then ask to be transferred to their supervisor.

Definitely start making some waves. The people you get on the phone essentially know nothing, so ask for a supervisor right away, and always make note of time you called and name of supervisor. As the expedite was approved, your Senator or Congress man/women may also be able to help.

i have been contacting teir 2 supervisors and they say we being expidited fo me to be patient and my congress woman office say they will look into it but it take 2 to 4 weeks i not understand why this prrocess is so long i see on here people having decision in december and they file in sept. after us. our expidite was granted on november 26th.
