Mid August? That is a bit much to hope for at this point. Mid July is just starting to come in.

Believe me that I wish it were otherwise. As far as I am concerned, USCIS should be working on Mid November right now, but the bureaucrats who are getting paid $1,820.00 per hour of our money just don't see it this way.

Who is "they"? Are you talking about the robots who answer the phones? Those people are about as useful as screen doors on submarines. They have no clue as to what is going on, and most of the time that they are pressed for answers that are not on their cheat sheet, those answers are from the twilight zone.

Don't pay attention to any so called answers from the first level phone staff. My cat can come up with better answers.

anyhow, well your right its them on the call centers, but its also a given answer for one of the post by some moderator, also same when we were told to call by January 12th by the supposed higher person than or immigration officer. were we sure that he was indeed the right person with a valid answer? nope and i hope not LOL. my only wish is when they all go back to work on monday, that they will start approving our petitions. as of the igor's list its already saying theyre processing august 6th uhuh?!?whistling.gif so im starting to wonder where did all the rest of July filer's cases went???whistling.gif

The higher level people, while more in touch than the first level people, still want the same thing: For you to go away. They just do it with a little more skill.

Vermont has been moving; it's just that they are slower than a tree sloth. Four of our members got NOA2 between Christmas and New Years.

Expect it to pick up now that the holidays are over and the TPS & Work Visas are coming to a close. Based on their charts (USCIS) they have pretty much tackled the bulk of those visas. As another member said in another thread, Octoberish is the time of year when Work Visas are filed so the centers slow down and begin to process those.

Looking at the influx of I-129Fs on their site also, they got a lot in October and can only guess it is around the same for November and December, which means they may be getting backlogged on K-1s, which would be good for us as they will switch into turbo mode on those and start pumping them out.

Igor's list shows a drop in i129f filings starting in September. if that is an indication of national totals, that is actually a good sign as well, as it will not take them as long to do the Autumn months as the Summer months.

that sucks. they should be doing something. we're paying for these whole process and been waiting for a lifetime. I didn't expect it's almost 5 months already.... yes they said 5months of k1 processing, but as i have known it won't reach this far. :bonk:

Your guess is as good as mine. The one reason USCIS claims, national security, is a bunch of bull hockey.

But the real time lately has been 5 1/2 to 6 months. The 6 to 9 month claim that has been floating around here seems to have come from the first line phone answerers, who are completely cluless as to what is going on. Asking them what is going on is about as useful as asking my cat about brain surgery.
