I'm done filling out all the forms and getting all the documents, now I need to assemble my packet.

I'm planning on going to Kinko's today and making all the copies of the forms and documents.

I just have a few questions about the assembly process....

When I send in my I-129F packet, do I send in the photocopied version or do I send in the originals?

When I'm making my tabs, do I need to make seperate tabs for mine and my fiance's G-325A or do I just make one?

Lastly, I heard that for all the documents like my birth certificate, fc-029, letters of intent, and attachment (basically all forms that aren't from INS) I should put a label on the bottom with I-129F original submission. I just want to know if I should or shouldn't. I've heard some yes's and some no's.

Thanks for any anwsers and suggestions that are given. :)

All signed docs sent need to be originals.

I read somewhere that all pages had to be signed by the petitioner. David initialled and dated all of our evidence papers and all of the attachement/supplement pages. If this was unnecessary, oh well. But I think it was a good thing to do anyway.

- Send original forms, duly signed.

- Make sure you and your fiance signed all pages of G-325A - each of you will send one set of 4 pages.

- Sign the attachments and link them back to the question on the form.

- Date the pictures sent as evidence of having met on the back.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

So I send the original forms and documents in.. Does the embassy send that original packet to my fiance? Because someone told me that my fiance might need the original pictures and documents for the interview.

After your case is approved, USCIS will forward it to NVC, then on to the respective Embassy or Consulate in his country. The Embassy will send him yet more forms to fill out, requiring more photos.

So, in a nutshell, once you submit the packet, you will not get it back.

Keep 2 copies of everything you send.

Make 2 copies of everything you send. Keep one of the copies in a safe place and give one of the copies to your fiance for the interview. Your fiance should also take proof of your ongoing relationship (letters, emails, receipts, photos, etc. obtained after petition filing) to the interview.

I kept 2 extra copies of my entire packet - one with the original receipts, plane tickets, birth certificates, etc. and the other with copies of those. The one with the originals will go with my fiance to the interview in case they ask for any originals. We will also take additional proof of ongoing relationship to the interview, such as letters, emails, receipts, etc. which were created after submitting the petition.

All required signed forms and letters of intent to marry sent to USCIS must always be originals.

You don't need or necessarily want to send your packet along with tabs and in a binder or anything.

If you want to you can 2 hole punch all documents along the top, and use an ACCO fastener, beyond that, the service center will be taking your submission apart and throwing away the tabs etc.

Double and triple check everything, make 2 copies and/or scan everything submitted, and good luck on your journey!

My adivice is: Original stuff are just pictures...

I believe all others are to be kept and send them to your fiance(e) when you got NA2 and then send to your fiance(e) to bring into the interview [note, one consular is different from another so check with their website for further information), however, it used to be that all original papers are to be sent but no more and this is why they required you to sign form FC029 certified copy...

Send the originals of all signed and dated documents. Keep copies for yourself and your fiancée. All other documents such as birth certificates, divorce decrees, travel tickets, visa stamps, or what have you can be copies (make sure the official seals can be visibly seen.)

I made a simple table of contents to specify the order of everything. I do not consider you need to tab or separate the packet by official and non-official information.

They basically like a neat simply organized presentation with not a lot of frills that could frustrate the caseworker. No bonus points for creativity!
