Yes. It is a joke. If the "victim" of a TOS violation is sincerely offended then sure, a 1 day, 2 day, 7 day "timeout" is well suited. But I am willing to bet 97% of the time Mods will take action when the "victim" was not offended at all.

You were 100% right, the lady probably did need counseling and medication. But telling someone that so directly can be insulting, and much more hurtful than other posts...

97% of the time Mods will take action when the "victim" was not offended at all.

I believe you misunderstand the nature of TOS enforcement. There doesn't have to be a victim, much less an offended victim. You could post a racist rant about black people at 3 am Christmas morning and if the only person who sees it is a moderator, he or she should (and will) remove it and deliver their wrath unto you. The rules are the rules, regardless of who is actually offended.
