Anyone who knows me, or who has seen me post on here, will tell you that I really do have a thing for good chocolate chip cookies.

The future of innovation and technological advancement is going to come from outside of the US, probably India and China will lead the way. US politicians are so afraid of sience they don't care that the current crop of students are ranked lower than 36th in the world, about equal to Lithuania (no disrespect to Lithuanians intended) when it comes to results in math and science. Knowing that, it's somewhat of a surprise that most Americans think they know more than the average scientist. Beggars belief really.

(AP) NEW DELHI - A rocket carrying an Indian communication satellite exploded just after liftoff in the second launch failure for India's space agency this year.

Television images showed the rocket exploding in smoke and fire just after it launched Saturday from the Sriharikota space center in Andhra Pradesh state. It was carrying a GSAT-5P communication satellite into orbit.

I imagine in India they probably do, unless of course, like in the US, it gets routed to a call center in the Philippines.

ETA: Why are calls to the Philippines so expensive, when most 800 calls get routed there anyways? How do you think most of us old farts met our young Pinay brides?

Kind of like how I ended up with a Russian wife after visiting my mom's long lost relatives in Belarus after the end of the Cold War.
