Best way is to walk into their office. Look up their local office and go there. Bring a copy of EVERYTHING you ever sent to USCIS to leave with them.

They may entertain your concern. However, if they try to contact USCIS and you are still within the normal 5 months time frame, they may tell them the same answer that you are going to get, which is you are still within the normal 5 months time frame.
