Hello,

We're in the process of applying for a K-1 visa and have discovered we will probably need a waiver for my fiancee's previous overstay. In our research we came across a lawyer online named Laurel Scott who operates the site visacentral.net. We're asking whether anybody has had experience with them and can recommend them or another lawyer. This is an important decision for us and we are concerned about wasting time and money by working with the wrong lawyer.

Any direction you could provide will be most helpful.

Our story:

  • June 2004: Met online, www.lavalife.com
  • July 2004: Jason came to Bangkok, we went to Phi Phi islands, it was so beautiful : )
  • April 2005: Met again in Italy, trip photos are here.
  • October 2005: Jason came to Bangkok again, went to Krabi
  • April 2006: Met in Paris, he proposed in Luxemburg garden : )
  • August 2006: Jason is going to file I-129, We're both very excited!

Laurel Scott has a very good reputation and is possibly one of the most knowledgeable when it comes to waivers. She also offers a free chat online whereby one can ask questions. Off hand I cant recall the web address for that, but Im sure someone will. Many from here have either hired Laurel Scott or been guided by her.
