Yippee, praise the Lord!!! got oath letter today. next monday, may 2nd at 8:30am.Right on time... made passport appt for 11:30a at regional office for expedited processing as i fly out on may 3rd.

I KNOW! so not fair....

I made a infopass appointment for tomorrow. I don't think the officer will be able tell me anything but let's see.

Aug 2001 - Enter US on B2 visiting visa

July 2002 - Enrolled in school, obtained F1 Visa

Sept 2007 - Married

Nov 2007 - File for GC

Feb 2008 - Interview - approved

Mar 2008 - received 2 year conditional GC.

11/30/2009 - Applied for ROC

12/15/2009 - received NOA, NOA date 12/10/2009

1/15/2010 - FP appointment

1/17/2010 - LUD

4/18/2010 - Previous I765 LUD

I think we all should make an infopass appointment and go talk to an IO and flat out ask the reason why is Atlanta DO so slow compared to others when we pay the same fees and go through the same process everyone nationwide also does. I scheduled an infopass for May 3rd....Been 6 weeks since fingerprinting and haven't heard a thing since.

to schedule your appointment....Pick Atlanta field office and the option that states "you need information or other services". Once there, follow the steps till the end...I called the USCIS customer service 1-800 number 3-4 times and each time I did, I was asked to schedule an infopass to get a status update or update on background checks from local DO.

If you track your application online it states the processing time depends on the number of applications before yours. Maybe Atlanta processes a large region.

Karlita's husband here (I've been the one updating her status on this thread). Well her interview was today and she passed! According to her it was a very easy and pleasant experience. While her biometrics were in Philadelphia, PA, the interview was in Mt. Laurel, NJ which was great b/c it was much closer to where we live. Her appointment was scheduled for 10:20a. We arrived at 10:00 and she got called in for her interview a little bit before the scheduled 10:20 time. According to her, her immigration officer was very friendly and personable. He reviewed some of the questions from the N-400 first. When we filled out the N-400 back in January, we forgot to mention that she got a speeding ticket a few years ago. She brought it up but the officer didn't appear to be too concerned with that. She answered all the civics questions with no problem. I don't remember which ones they asked her, but she said that they were among the easier ones. They then wrapped up with the speaking and reading exam. The actual examination probably lasted 15 minutes, but afterward they ended up small talking for another 10. haha. He was interested in my wife's career (life & health coach) and ended up picking her brain on some topics. My wife actually had an opportunity to take the oath later this afternoon, but we have a flight to catch to California for her brother's wedding. But luckily the officer was able to re-schedule her for a not too far off 5/9 oath :)
