Update on member fawz2011 congrats on your interveiw date :thumbs: ....please if i left anybody out or you see a error on your timeline status get back and i shall edit it for you..

For other members who feel something is not going the way it should with getting a interveiw letter or something, shoot us a post, im sure other members will step in and give some sound advice....but most of the time things will be straigtened out one way or another.

but looking at this jan n-400 filers we seem to be doing well on timelines, if you look at other months...

Sometimes applicants get a so called yellow letter.....nothing to stress about this is standard, as the uscis need more or missing documents, so just bring what they ask for at interveiw..

it's also wise that if you had any speeding tickets and the uscis seems to be sticklers on this here lately, even if under $500 fine bring evidance to show that your ticket has been payed for....bring to your interveiw court records (if any) with payments/receipts which has been met....so you can clear this up there and then at your interveiw.

If you file on the 3yr rule..bring documents which connects you and your spouse....even if they didnt ask for it at any stage, as ive seen applicants, who was asked for nothing to bring only there id/pp/ and basic standard stuff.....but at interveiw they seem lately to ask for other documents which connects you and your spouse....so take it with you, they might not ask for it, but still this will deal with what they want there and then, hence not delaying your application...

The Interviewer pulled out things in my file from years ago asking me questions... boy i tell ya.

Yep...i thought they can, be silly to think otherwise huh? but ya know what? they can make things easy or hard for applicants even tho its just a matter of pressing a few buttons and print off stuff....like ####### they asking for your pr card ....like they have'nt got a zillion copies of you on file in there secret stash somewhere? it all depends on which I.O you pull on that given day i guess....

Ive got a bunch of stuff to show them if need be....but ya watch them ask me for something i cant show....such as a electric statement with me and the mrs jointly on there, as our sucky only electric company wants a $350 admin fee to have my name jointly on the statement crazy.....stuff that for the sake of having my name on the bill....ill keep my money and the mrs can have that bill he he ..same with the home loan..Mrs bought this house before i met her 11 yrs ago...again lender wants a change of deed payment of $500 crazy man....again stuff that....i refuse to pay it...

we have got a joint rental property which both our names are on the the deeds and a rental agreement signed by us and our tennants....makes me wonder what these people really want Blood....oh well they can do all the checking they want, and i would even ask them to visit me doing the houseold chores ive been doing this last friggen month...

They can give me a hand also...if they want....that be nice...

Yup, you'd think things go a little faster here as NY is one of the main immigration hubs, but alas. Though we applied toward the end of January, there hasn't been any action for us since FP, except receipt of the yellow letter saying they might need State Issued Drivers License/ID card (received Mar 30th)

Online status hasn't been touched since Feb 8th (FP was Feb 23rd) , which is odd but from what I've read here, the N-400 online status isn't to be trusted.

There isn't a lot of history here on VJ Immigration Timelines to say how long an average NY naturalization application takes, but we're hoping for a late May-early June interview and an oath ceremony about 4 weeks after that.
