Why in heavens should a US citizen have to have his/her paperwork sit at USCIS for 90+days and THEN go through the same waiting game for 90+days at NVC in order to achieve a VISA for their spouse. This is ridiculous. I believe I have aged considerably dealing with this govt beaucracy #######. For example, I can call NVC 4 times a day and each time I get a different response. Wow unbelievable; My cupboard of patience is running low. When will this ordeal end??? I don't see how many of you wait and maintain your sanity. God Bless.

You know, the whole process is very difficult at times. It is just because we all want to be with the one we love so much that any time apart is unbearable. Mel and I certainly understand your frustration. But in a short time all your waiting will be rewarded with a re-union that will last the rest of your lives.

focus more on the things that you can do something about like improving yourself and getting your home ready. Staying busy keeps your mind off the wait. The worse thing is to spend too much time looking at your case online, it drives you crazy!

You are going to make it, the journey will be over soon, we are all with you, Melinda and I are praying for you

The whole process is stressful. No one can do anything about it. I guess, we have to learn to deal with it.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

*hugs* (F) Hang in there. I know I ended up with a lot more gray  Somehow we do get through sane and believe it or not, a lot stronger for it. We are mostly all very lucky really, that we are able to do and complete the CR-1 process in under a year. Not very long ago this process was taking on average 2-3 years to gain a CR-1 immigrant visa. Try and think of it in the positive. All the best.
