Hi everybody,

what my fiance is supposed to mark at question 11th from I-134 ( I intend/ do not intend to make specific contributions to the person named in item3)? Do they mean that the sponsor is a sponsor only for the K1 visa or through the whole period after the marriage?

Your question indicates you haven't viewed the sample forms or studied the I-134 and its instructions. Please see the Guides for sample forms and read the actual I-134 and its instructions. You'll find the answers there. If you have further questions after doing your homework, feel free to ask them.

Well, the thing is that I have read the instructions and the form I-134 and according to me one should check 'I intend to make specific contributions...". Initially,my fiance marked this and wrote explanation below but since I saw the filled in sample of I-134 given here, now we are not sure what to write because in the sample it is said" N/A K1 visa process for permanent residence).

If you don't want to follow the guide and sample forms here, why would you ask here for a definitive answer?

My preference is to check "intend" and write something to the effect of, "I will fully support my fiancee and then spouse as needed." What's in the sample forms is sufficient in nearly all cases but London and some times Manila want to see more like what I suggested.

ok,I just wanted to know the opinion and advice of people who already have gone through this. I am under such stress right now and I am trying to make everything as perfect as possible. I read that I-134 is valid for 5 years but nowhere in the instructions of the form is said so...So it could be said as it is in the sample here. I wanted to ask you because I read many of your comments before and you are very rational. happy new year and thank you for your help!
