Casablanca.

If he can choose Casablanca, then I can choose To Kill a Mockingbird! Or Citizen Kane! I am ambivalent between the two.

Inception was pretty good..

I thought Due Date was hilarious.. I hardly ever laugh out loud at movies but that one had me cracking up ..

Toy Story 3 was ok but I liked the first two better..

Harry Potter was good.. My husband liked it and he has only seen the first movie and hasn't read any of the books...lol I wish they would have split up some of the other books into 2 movies though.. they left out a lot of good stuff in the other movies...

I really want to see The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.. might be doing that tomorrow...

 Both excellent films. Are you a classic movie fan too?

Totally. Hubby, not so much, but we do agree on Citizen Kane!

I had the idea once to watch the Top 100 Movies, in order, but I lacked the ambition in the end. Quite a few agreed with my personal picks, but there were some I questioned. blink.gif

Ooohhh yeah, Due Date was very good! I am a huge Robert Downey Jr. fan, since he upstaged Mel Gibson in Air America!

I  the Cohen Bros & Jeff Bridges, but will wait until the public library

has this on DVD (they always have the best movies and since I have such

a big movie "to see" list it's no problem waiting). In the mean time I have

the John Wayne version on hold.

They are so into acquiring the best movies that you can put them on hold

even before they are available. :star: :star: :star:

I've seen many movies this year and the worst was Due Date. It was really terrible and a waste of time.

Alice in Wonderland and Iron Man 2 had underdeveloped plots. I can forgive them because I admire Depp and Downey a lot and they always portray their roles well.

Great visual effects for Tron: Legacy and Avatar but neither story was impressive.

Inception was fine but not original. It felt like watching the Matrix trilogy or Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

I do not enjoy movies about boxers but The Fighter was a pleasant surprise. I'd choose it over Black Swan anytime. Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg are truly talented actors.

Better ones:

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader- weak denouement though

Prince of Persia- Jake G is good-looking but he didn't belong to the movie

Clash of the Titans- somebody could've performed better than Sam W

My favorite light movies:

How to Train Your Dragon

Tangled

Megamind

The Other Guys- the message more than the humor

The rest are not worth mentioning.
