Having a baby has really interfered with my previous desire to keep up with the latest releases - I haven't seen many of the movies I wanted to this year, like Inception, Toy Story 3, The Social Network, The Town.

What were your favorites this year?

Having a baby has really interfered with my previous desire to keep up with the latest releases - I haven't seen many of the movies I wanted to this year, like Inception, Toy Story 3, The Social Network, The Town.

What were your favorites this year?

The only one on the Newsweek list of best for 2010 was "A Prophet" and was a little

surprised to see it at #1; I would like to see "The King's Speech" and "Carlos" - I am

more interested in films that make me think, especially about cross-cultural themes.

"A Prophet" was very well done but probably too hard-core for the mainstream.

I can't wait to see the 3rd "Millenium Trilogy" Stieg Larsson-authored film,

"The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest" - I read the first two books and

saw the first two movies.

I liked Inception but I was a bit lost until the end of the movie. I knew what was going on but it was kinda like a puzzle. I don't want to say more since you haven't seen it :) I watched The Town a few days ago...liked it.

Movies I saw and didn't really like that were supposed to be big ones...Prince of Persia, Twilight, Robin Hood

Knight & Day surprised me. I wasn't sure if I'd like it but ended up thinking it was pretty good!

I saw the new Harry Potter and thought it was the best of the whole series. I think I liked that one better because they weren't running around magic school, they were actually using their "powers" in RL.

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.

I didn't like Avatar :dead:

I like Sigourney Weaver a lot, but I thought the movie was as flat as it's color scheme.

Visually impressive, technically dazzling and preachy.

I have a "soft spot" for boxing movies - I can't wait to see "The Fighter"

I rarely get to the theaters, child reason too, so I think I only saw 3 movies there the past year! But we watch movies at home through Netflix.

My favorites from the movies I actually watched:

Alice in Wonderland

Toy Story 3

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

Tron: Legacy

Karate kid

To Save a Life

Lots of family friendly movies eh? :P

Looking through a list and there are quite a few I still want to see that were from this year. I think I tried catching up with 2009 movies most of the past year!

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)

I liked "True Grit" Jeff Bridges and whoever played the role of the little girl will be nominated for an Oscar a must see movie..

"True Grit" A must see movie. Jeff Bridges as Rooster Cogburn is done excellent. The young lady who played the main character is surely a shoe in for an Oscar nomination. I bet money on Jeff Bridges also getting nominated.

I have to go along with True Grit. We went to it on the 24th and I was blown away. Not a fan of Avatar or Inception. Avatar was too preachy and Inception tried to be too smart for its own good.
