My wife's nickname for my ex is "the Devil"

My pledge for 2011 is to continue to present provocative and interesting content

for the mutual enjoyment or embarassment of all

flawed poll, no such thing as perjurative (did she lie under oath while using using a negative label?) :P

Sorry, my bad for spelling

pejorative adj. Tending to make or become worse. Disparaging; belittling. n. A disparaging or belittling word or expression.

Charles, did you answer the poll indicating you were female? What was the nickname?

Inquiring minds want to know :wow:

Then I'm really puzzled because she said there were no exes on either side -

she might want to cancel her votes as this poll is just for those where there

is an "ex" in the picture - anyone can post but not everybody has to answer

the poll.

I wrongly assumed it was you because neither she nor her spouse has an ex.

I'm not Belinda and I didn't vote

Good; I guess we have an anonymous female respondent -

I'll refrain from any such assumptions in the future.

Putting on my "Vizzini/Wallace Shawn" thinking cap,

I figure that there are no votes to "view" as nobody

who posted has voted (and vice versa).

{WAllace Shawn, Vizzini of the "Princess Bride"}

I don't see the "view" button spoken of, but

I am less interested in who may have been

previously divorced than in the aggregate

responses.

Divorce happens. If you re-marry you have to

have considerable talents to negotiate the minefield

of residual relations with the ex. That's why second

marriages often have a higher failure rate.

My ex doesn't enter into the picture that much

except to cause trouble from time to time, but

I handle that and my wife is not subjected to

dealing with her directly.

On the other hand, I have a good relationship

with my wife's ex husband; I wish all divorces

could be as civilized as theirs is. Her son got

into a minor fender-bender and it was her ex

husband that gave her the heads up because

the son was too embarassed to tell her.

If one of my kids was in a coma in the emergency room,

I probably wouldn't hear about it until after the funeral.

We don't talk about our exes...they are ancient history and completely insignificant to our lives.

That's the best of all worlds but where there are kids involved where decisions have to be

made there is often an element of stress. If one or both of you have kids, you both get :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:

Hubby's ex actually seems like a cool lady, even though I've never met her. She gets why hubby and I are both ready to strangle my MIL  and wanted to strangle her along with us after hearing how she acted when she was here this summer.

I've never had a problem with her but she didn't like me for a while. She blamed me for their breakup even though they were already living pretty separate lives when I met him. She recently told hubby that it's all worked out the way it should and has no ill will towards me at all. He still doesn't really relish the day when we may meet face to face. LOL.
