The squeamish need not post here.

The basic stats requested should be in AVOIRDUPOIS & METRIC,

as we are an international community and not just US-focused.

Let's see if we can keep this going until 2012.

I'll start it off here:

My height: 5' 7" (67 in.)/170 cm

My heaviest weight: 225 lbs. /102.3kg

Current weight:220 lbs./100kg

Weight loss percent: 0.02%

You can weigh in every day, once a week or once a month,

not everybody has the same sense of timing.

All posts should have height, heaviest weight and current weight

and weight loss percent, so as to be comprehensive.

You can add advice on what you are doing to lose weight also.

I eat a lot LESS, I have got my wife on board (not presenting me

with 3-course dinners every day I come home from work) and

I go to the YMCA every workday and have a very hard workout,

whereas before I used to have a very leishurely workout.

I use a recumbent bike for my legs, but use the hand grips on the machine

to turn the workout up a notch, as if I was on a real bike and pulling hard

on the handlebars. This gives me a complete workout on only one machine.

I also use the rowing machine and something called the "versa-climer" -

which is arms & legs at the same time as if you were climbing a mountain.

  • 1 month later...

My height: 5' 7" (67 in.)/170 cm

My heaviest weight: 225 lbs. /102.3 kg

Current weight: 215 lbs./97.72 kg

Weight lost: 10 lbs./4.55 kg

Weight loss percent: 0.51%

At this rate I could weigh 155 lbs./70.5 kg by the end of July.

Although it's possible I don't think it's likely; we will see.

It could have been more, but that's only after the first month.

I'm starting to get used to being hungry for most of the day.

There ain't no other way.

See you around Feb. 28.

You should really figure out a plan where you aren't hungry all of the time. Everyone knows losing too fast and using a program you can't turn into a lifestyle change will not work. You will gain it back FAST once you're off this eating plan.

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.

I'm trying to feel moderately hungry because in the past I did feel painfully hungry and I DID gain it back.

I don't think 10 lbs. in one month is going overboard as I used to work out at the gym for 3 hours and

lost 5-6 lbs. a week. I'm trying to control my eating habits, specifically how much I eat. I didn't do that

when I was going overboard with exercise. I'm still going to the gym, but limit my workouts

to about an hour now.

I have to think of it as a lifestyle change, not a temporary change in my eating habits.

Thanks for the support.
