Do I need to bring AOS forms to my IR-1 interview?

Last question guys before I do the interview after the New Year celebration.

I was reviewing the instructions and it says that I need to bring my AOS forms. From what I know, I do not need to bring these because my spouse already submitted it to the NVC and then NVC forwarded them to USEM. Meaning, when I go for my interview, USEM already have my AOS.

To those, who had their interview recently for CR1/IR1 visa, can you tell me exactly what they asked from you?

I have read that some people say to take the AOS paperwork to the interview.

I am having my wife take copies of all the forms and paperwork we submitted just in case.

Might not be needed but I don't want any surprises. Good luck on your interview. My wife will be there two days later.

April 24, 2010: Married in Butuan City
May 23, 2010: Submitted I-130
May 28, 2010: NOA-1 Received
October 19, 2010: NOA-2 Received
October 26, 2010: Case Number Assigned
October 28, 2010: IIN Received
November 3, 2010: AOS paid
November 5, 2010: AOS status "PAID". Sent AOS packet
November 6, 2010: DS-3032 email received. Emailed DS-3032
November 8, 2010: IV paid, DS-3032 accepted
November 10, 2010: IV status "PAID". Sent IV packet
November 15, 2010: IV received at NVC
November 22, 2010: False Checklist for missing DS-230
November 29, 2010: AOS + IV entered into system
December 4, 2010: SIF, Case Completed
December 6, 2010: Interview Scheduled
December 27-28, 2010: Passed Physical

In addition to having the originals for any copies already submitted (Birth Certificates etc) you should have updated pay stubs as additional evidence of "current sustained income".

My wife also had complete copies of everything previously filed (I-130 Petition, AOS & DS-230 Packets) just in case something got lost in the jumble.


Must have info for bringing your Philippine wife/fiancee's child to the US

@bob: i hope they don't ask for any of the forms. but thanks for the tip, yeah. i'll do that. income might be an issue since husband just moved back to Ny a couple of months ago and still jobless. his family is the one who will pretty much support us for the meantime.

IR1...JOURNEY TO NVC...

10/04/2010: Case# received, Both email id provided

10/05/2010: DS-3032 COA emailed to NVC

10/11/2010: IIN received

10/11/2010: I-864 AOS review fee ($88) online payment

10/13/2010: I-864 AOS status 'PAID'

10/16/2010: AOS package mailed out

10/16/2010: ds3032 accepted

10/17/2010: DS-230 IV fee ($404)...online payment..-in process

10/18/2010: I-864 AOS package delivery

10/21/2010: I-864 AOS package completion

10/19/2010: DS-230 IV status 'PAID',

10/20/2010: DS-230 IV package mailed out

10/22/2010: DS-230 IV package delivery
