Hi VJ friends,

I am about to mail out our AOS package, but would like to have your advice on one issue:

We include a cover letter to explain that my husband and I are temporarily living apart because I need to finish school, but we use our common home address on the application forms rather than school address. I am not sure if I need to insert two copies of this letter, one with I-130 and one with I-485 package, since they might be processed by different ppl? Or I could just place this letter on top of the entire AOS package??

Appreciate your help!

Include two copies of the letter. One with each petition.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

We just one cover letter for the whole package and didn´t have any problem. Just be sure that you mail the I-130 and the I-485 together in the same package/envelope.

Good luck!

AJ

I included three cover letters: one for the I-130, one for the I-485 and one for the overall package. Each cover letter had a breakdown of what was included in the respective package.

My general rule is when in doubt, include it! I've never heard of anyone getting an RFE for including too much information. If the IO doesn't need something you have included, they won't have a problem tossing it out!

Also, I would only include one "master" address on all the paperwork to keep things simple. Why confuse things and risk items being sent to different addresses.

Hi Zooch,

Thank you very much.

I appreciate your reply, after reviewing the forms and evidence for over 10 times, I am finally ready to send it out.... we have doubts about what address to have on forms, how to keep things simple yet not let them think we are trying to cover something...So painful, but we decided to use our home address as the consistent address on all forms, but indicate my dorm address as current residence on G325A.

I just wish all AOSers could get their green card smoothly!

Happy new year!

Jo
