I130 Petition for Alien Relative(parents)

Hi, recently I helped my wife file for her parents. I've been searching around for a rough estimate of how much longer it will take for the process but could not find anyone going through HCMC. The Immigrant Visa Application Processing fee was just paid and getting ready to send in the application next week. thanks

02/01/05: Sent I129F

02/05/05: <!--WORD2URL-01--><!--END WORD2URL-01-->USCIS<!--WORD2URL-02--><!--END WORD2URL-02--> received I129F

02/11/05: Recieved 1NOA

03/16/05: Approved 2NOA

05/02/05: E-mailed US Consulate HCMC

05/03/05: Got HCM number through phone at U.S. Department of State Visa Office

05/06/05: Recieved e-mail Package 3 was sent today

05/19/05: Package 3 recieved

05/24/05: Turned in DS230 at US Consulate HCMC

09/07/05: Failed Interview, got blue slip requesting additional evidence and credit card statements

10/11/05: turned in requested documents and got approved

10/27/05: arrived in US

02/10/06: turned in I485/I765

08/24/06: I485 approved

09/06/06: got Permanent Residence Card in mail

08/06/08: sent i751 removal of conditional basis

04/25/09: received approval letter from USCIS

Sorry to burst your bubble. Unless she's a citizen, she can only petition for children or spouse into the US under an immigrant visa.

NVC Received : 2007-02-05

Consulate Received : 2007-06-09

Interview Date : 2007-08-16 Case sent back to USCIS

NOA case received by CSC: 2007-12-19

Receive NOIR: 2009-05-04

Sent Rebuttal: 2009-05-19

NOA rebuttal entered: 2009-06-05

Case sent back to NVC for processing: 2009-08-27

Consulate sends DS-230: 2009-11-23

Interview: 2010-02-05 result Green sheet for updated I864 and photos submit 2010-03-05

APPROVED visa pick up 2010-03-12

POE: 2010-04-20 =)

GC received: 2010-05-05

I read it as a LPR can file for an IR1 for parents... I130...

I got the info off the USCIS site.

Note: Permanent residents may not bring parents to live permanently in the United States.

expect 8 or more months given the current processing times... look at the HCMC interview topic page 1 and then look at any of the recnt CR1/IR1 filers timelines...

Only US citizens can petition for IR visas. LPR's can only petition for FB2 visas.

12/15/2009 - K1 Visa Interview - APPROVED!

12/29/2009 - Married in Oakland, CA!

08/18/2010 - AOS Interview - APPROVED!

05/01/2013 - Removal of Conditions - APPROVED!
