Hi guys,

I called the NCSC and put in a service request a couple of weeks ago based on being outside processing times (I filed 7 months ago). The lady confirmed I was outside processing times and said I'd hear back. Well, I heard back today....but they must have entered the wrong type of service request (non-receipt of card???). Also, my online status still says pending. I am SO confused now! Any advice?

Type of service requested: -- Non-Delivery of Permanent Resident Card (not the reason for which the lady filed the SR)

The status of this service request is: Recently, you called to inform us that you never received your Permanent Resident Card.

On December 23, 2010, your Permanent Resident Card was generated and we mailed it to the address we had on record. (online status still shows pending)

I don't dare hope this means I can put this process behind me.

I am pretty sure this means you have been approved...but we will give it a couple days to receive the card before congratulating you...

I agree with the others. They're informing you about a GC that is generated and mailed to you. USCIS tells you specifically they have been sending you the GC so that means you're done. Congratulations!

Lot of people have reported missing case updates including myself so no need to worry about the status updates.

I just got the approval letter and the card in the mail a few minutes ago. My total wait time was just over seven months and the service request seems to have prompted the approval.

I am glad I will no longer be reminded of my spouse's death by this whole process. Good luck to everyone else currently in the queue.
