Bush is stupid because of what he says and does, not because of where he went to college (which, as with a lot of kids with rich and influential parents has as much to do with that as it does with any inherent talent.

Just yesterday he compared Osama Bin Laden to both Adolf Hitler and Lenin. Clearly some aspect of his education was lacking if he can't rationalise divergent histories and philosophies.

BTW I'm curious, but what application does a business and engineering background provide to a discussion of "comparative theology"?

The other day you were one of the folks complaining about Hollywood actors not being qualified to render political opinions - just wondering... what qualifies you to talk about religion?

People like yourself call Bush an idiot because he is not good with words. Some of the smartest people on Earth have the worst communications skills. Thanks to hollywood and typical American perceived popularity we always relate smooth talkers to intelligence, which is definitely NOT the case. Some of the dumbest, biggest losers, shifty, sly bastards are super smooth talkers.

My mentioning education is too establish ones background and level of thinking. Trust me, I am the first to say that simply having education does not mean one is smart. As we all know there is book smart, world smart and common sense smart. Possessing all three is what makes someone really smart.

Bush has tried his best. He can't change the world and is not responsible for the world. Yet everything that goes wrong people just bash him for it while cheer on your American idols, because obviously people like that have done sooo sooo much for humanity and the advancement of the human race..

Suggesting that Lenin, Hitler and Bin Laden are comparable - has nothing to do with whether or not he is good with words, but rather with being fundamentally bad with ideas (which has something to do with education AND intelligence).

Really? What was that "Challenge of our time" stuff about the? Considering how he has positioned himself over the last 5 years as the saviour of the free world I'd say that what he is, and what he considers himself to be are two very different things.

He can't change the world? Remember what the world looked like before this guy took office and what it looks like today? The world is a lot worse off today. A lot less stable in many places, specifically in the Middle East. Why? Because he decided to go it alone. He decided to be the arrogant Texas Yahoo in front of the world and former close allies and start an illegal and unprovoked act of aggression against a country leaving it in shambles up to this day - some three and a half years later. He made a mess out of everything he touched out there. He can't change the world? You gotta be kidding.

I wouldn't have made the comparison that he did.

In any case you seem to think you have some ideas - I guess if having an engineering background gives you the skills and know-how to fix your car, it must logically follow that you can fix anything, including the world

Still I'm puzzled that carpet bombing of densely populated urban areas in 3rd world countries somehow amounts to "fixing"
