Okay, I see. So, you're arguing from an ideal point of view as opposed to the realities on the ground (in terms of what the law in countries such as Pakistan is vs. what actual Islamic would be). That's not particularly helpful. The reality (and this is what matters) in Pakistan in today remains, as I said, that there is no law that criminalizes either marital or statuatory rape and a woman does face prosecutionfor adultery if she was to report a rape that she cannot 100% prove. And even if it can be proven, the assailant(s) still may walk away free men further discouraging women to report on rape cases as the case I referred to above shows.

And, what are all those corrupt Muslims doing there in Pakistan? Is there no punishment for corruption in the perfect world of Islam and Islamic law?

That appears to be the case. Most of those European Islamist Jerkoff's have been to Pakistan prior to plotting and carrying out their heinous attacks. And those captured always seem to have been to Pakistan prior to carrying out their attacks and claim that they went there to deepen and cultivate their faith. Whatever that means. Now Musharraf might not be a supporter of terrorism but he doesn't actually represent the country, does he? I'd speculate that Osama picked Pakistan as a hideout for a reason.

WOW, didn't realize how much the older generation had hate for Islam. I goto school everday, get treated like a normal person... there are maybe like 10-15 people in my 1,000 people school who have said something offending to a Muslim and they are looked down upon as "complete #######" by not only the students, but also by the staff. Obviously, exceptions exist everywhere.

But by far... this thread definately took the ball in hating on Islam. You all sound like a bunch of Nazis and one day it's going to hit you so hard, you just wait. Scholars around the world have seen Islam as a great religion, they are in fact the ones who write the most comprehensive books about Islams (i'm talking about Non-Muslim Scholars). They've studied religion for a very long, so, why aren't they denouncing Islam like you guys?

and just FYI, I went to Pakistan for the first time ever June 2006 and it was completely different from what the media shows. The media DOES IN FACT make it seem 100 TIMES WORSE than it actually is... and don't argue that I didn't go into the shittiest areas... because I did. There was just a bunch of poverty in the shittiest areas... I specifically went to them just to check it out...

Who the hell says I want you to join Islam? I hope you never do honestly. I don't go around preaching Islam like many Christians like to do at/around my school, yelling it from the mountain tops and what not (along with almost anywhere else I go). I'm a Muslim, you are whatever you are. It only matters to me what I am.

FYI, Charles that wasn't a threat like I knew someone was going to take it. I'm telling you that, you just wait. Someday we're going to do something great for this world (we already do... and don't argue "OMGZORS WHAT ABOUT MUSLIM TERRORIST! because you can't be a Muslim and a terrorist at the same time) and it's going to help you. Wow. I like the concept of keeping your religion to yourself. It's a good concept. And I agree that the overly active members of all religions ought to do the same. As to why you'd be so uninviting and hostile towards others is beyond me, however. Is that what makes a good Muslim?

I'm only uninviting to those who decide to blame everything on Islam. I've had many conversations about religion with people in other religions, it's fun to get their view points, but at the same time, i've never been a big ### to say "join Islam, it's right for you!" I'm not a US Army Recruit.
