I did my biometrics yesterday to a different location, date and time what was mentioned in my letter .... I was supposed to go to the Baltimore MD ASC on the 14th January but I went yesterday to the Alexandria VA ASC and got my fingerprints done there .... I do not see any updates on my status after that (have already got my EAD card before biometrics), is it normal ?? Plus getting your biometrics (code 3 for I-485 as was mentioned on the letter) is not going to cause any problem ???

The guy who took my biometrics gave me my original USCIS letter after signing it back to me .... Any idea ?? Plus should I call USCIS again to CANCEL my ORIGINAL BIOMETRICS appointment ??

It's all computerized. USCIS got your biometrics results. You don't need to do anything but wait. Sometimes updates don't even show up for months. Trust me.

Thanks Bob ... You're right .... I just contacted them and have spoken to a supervisor and she told me that they do have this information that I went yesterday to do my biometrics in their record - so, I do not need to worry about anything or to go on the orginally scheduled appointment date ... :)

When my wife did her biometrics walk-in, the gentleman who took the photos and fingerprints stamped and signed her appointment letter and handed it back to us. He said that this would be our evidence that she'd completed her biometrics. With that in hand, we didn't bother contacting USCIS.

Don't trust the touches on the website; they're overrated. We got a few touches after biometrics, but nothing substantial till we got the interview letter (AP came right before interview; EAD right after).
