I am in the same boat as well, NOA 1 is July 28 and nothing since then. We called USCIS and asked for higher customer service representative as quite a few persons here found out that way that they were already approved. Our case is still under initial review but they made an official request to review it, supposedly we will hear something in 2 weeks. I am watching Igor's list, and there are a bunch of July 30th and early August applications approved, I feel it so unfair. We were just totally skipped. But if you check the earlier applications, it was the same case in June: early July cases were already approved before late June:(

I am contacting my senator as well.. I already called the USCIS and I might as well be talking to a monkey. No help there.... *sigh*

Have you asked for higher costumer service? The person who will answer the phone will know nothing, but the second person will be actually able to check it.

Trust me.. I want to be out of the way.. I just called the USCIS and I talked to an actual human this time. SHe had tried to place a service request in but my case is still in the normal processing time (I need 4 more days to be out of normal processing time, even though it has been 5 months) So she had told me to call back next week and they will put in a service request and I should hear something from the USCIS within 30 days.. :)

Can you imagine how much rent you could charge for landing on Dallas Lockbox Facility?

And then... you have recieved your NAO1 move forward 6 spaces...

You have recieved a RFE.. Go to jail, do not pass go, do not collect £200.

You have recieved your NAO2, miss 3 goes while you manage your anxiety waiting for your medical. Collect £100 from each player to sustain you while you fill in all the other forms needed for your interview..........

We are July 12th filers, and we called last week to find out. They told us (from the higher level of customer service) that they were only working on July 10 applications. BUT, come today, we just called the 800 number and got our approval as of today. Just waiting on the NOA2 hard copy now. And of course, the next step, NVC. I know it is hard, but patience is the best thing to have. It is even harder due to the holidays right now, for who knows when they mail things, work, or anything....and the blizzard? Sure it might add things. Patience, patience patience, young grasshopper.

There are still quite a few July filers that don't have an NOA2 yet, some of them earlier than me (my NOA1 is July 17). Check the July 2010 VSC forum (below), and you'll see a lot of others like yourself. I'm waiting to hear back from the VSC on January 6. USCIS put in a request for the status, and I was told that an officer is looking at it now and should have some info next week.

It looks like VSC is working around your date becouse I called this morning ( my 5 month was Dec-23) and I was told to call back in 13 days so I am hoping in about 7 more days I will be able to have my service request processed. it is very frustrating this long wait to be with our love ones !

That's great to hear! I'm hoping if they take the time to look at the request from the USCIS that they will just go ahead and review our case (approved or RFE) rather than putting it back on the shelf :)
