I have a feeling that not informing USCIS of your change of address within the required timeframe is technically a deportable office, but I wouldn't swear by it.

If it's any consolation, I filed mine and hubbys (for affidavit of support) change of address forms about two months after we moved, and nobody has turned up on the doorstep looking to deport me yet

Make sure you're wearing clean knickers. You never know when you'll be run over by a bus.

I had the same experience as ChristinaM, except USCIS actually gave a hint to me abt it themselves.

I received a letter stating that I have moved(I just forwarded my mail thru USPS :secret:(!!!!) to my BF address that time, so my roommates would not throw it away) and never submitted A-11(change of address form).. I did it immediately then, and I hope it didn't affect me too much(I keep my fingers crossed, cuz my case is not the "smoothest "one, and everything can turn to be harmful:( ) :hehe:

even 10 year green card holders are required to notify USCIS of any address change within 10 days until they either leave the country permanently or become a citizen. If you do neither, and stay in the US and continue to renew your green card, you are still required to do address changes until the end of time.

A sponsor is required to notify them of adress change with form I-865 until they have completed the requirements of the affidavit of support. which is the immigrant that they are sponsoring can be credited with 40 work quarters, or 10 years, whichever comes first. Until the immigrant either leaves the country for good, or becomes a citizen.

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card

PLEASE DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE ME OR EMAIL ME. I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT CURRENT US IMMIGRATION PROCEDURES!!!!!
