RFE I-485 (for I-864)

Hi,

I just got the pink letter today requesting a joint sponsor status....

I remember sending a copy of the joint sponsor ( which is actually my sis-in-law ) birth certificate that prove she is a US citizen...

So I was wondering if they actually lost that... or they required MORE evidence on status of the USC?

Like should I send the copy of the birth certificate again..... or sumthing else? Which I dont think we have any.... She dont have a passport.

BTW I notice I ahve to send back everything to Missouri...instead of Chicago.... Is this a bad news?

I know I sent in the copy of birth certificate.

So now Im not sure if I should sent it another form of birth certificate?

You need to type exactly what it says in the letter so we can help you.....

(13) The joint sponsor on form I-864 affidavit of Support must be a United States Citizen, United States national, or Lawful Permenant Resident of the United States. Submit evidence of the joint sponsor's status

You need to send a official copy of their birth certificate.... to show they are a USC....

I sent in the photocopy of the birth certificate last time..... something that look like this..

do you think I need to get it notarized or something? Isnt that already proving that she is a US citizen?

Just send what they ask for. Most likely they lost it. If your co-sponsor has a passport, send a copy of the ID page of that as well as backup.
