Let's take the "discredited" claim at face value, without rancor, and let's assume that the true percentages are half of what the poll claimed. Out of a population of 2 million, that's still quite a number of people who answered affirmatively.

True! I sound like an apologist, but I read about this survey on CNN and I believe this survey and it's results are pretty sketchy. Although I also heard about it on Faux News but of course they didn't analyze, only reported for desired effect.

That kind of thinking has got us to where we are now. Somebody defined insanity as continuing to do the same thing and expecting a different result. You really think that just killing a bunch of people based on their stated attitudes might 'solve' this problem! Do you see any way that just maybe you might run into a little problem with that approach? I know it's hard but try to think about this. At the end of the day there is a large divide between the Muslim community and the rest of British Society. Its here where the US melting pot ideology wins out IMO.

Maybe YOUR assumption is unrealistic. What if they asked Americans whether they support killing....convicted serial murderers. And then left out the "convicted serial murderers" part in the results.

I don't deny that there is probably a larger "fringe" element in the UK than in the U.S. But if you're going to accept that the survey is bogus, then the survey is bogus. Don't go inventing your own new numbers that still fit into what you want to think.
